Could Poz Be Our MLB?

If most of the players we want are gone in the first round, could the Eagles draft him to be our MLB of the future. Would you want him over any of the guys that are high on our draft boards? Or am I just wasting my time?

He played MLB at Penn State this year but it was new for him; I think he's better served at OLB

I know that, but would you want him if Griffin, Carriker, Willis, etc. were gone? The thing with Poz is, he is a team player, and would be willing to do so, he could be our SAM or WILL until Trotter retires, and then shift to the inside. He is a tackling machine, but you all know that. What I am trying to say is, are you willing to spend our first round pick on him if he were the only option left?

I could not disagree more. Poz's strengths are reading offenses and reacting, then making plays within his range and solid tackling. He is not an attacking-style LB, and he is not fast enough to get blitz pressure for us. He also struggles to shed blocks. His strengths do not suit the LB roles for the Eagles' scheme. I think the fit is bad.

No. He's McCoy with more instincts and less speed. Other than that they are the exact same player.

I would like the Timmons pick, he could very well be available at our pick if his numbers at the combine don't improve. His numbers are solid don't get me wrong, but people expected him to put up freak numbers, and so far a 4.59 40 isn't a good start. On another note P Willis ran a 4.49 so hopefully he won't be gone by the time we pick.

Yeah, I was expecting more out of Timmons, but Willis did impress at the combine yesterday, so it is really hopeful that he is around for our pick. Don't get me wrong, I would love it, but it is looking unlikely as of now.
