I feel bad for the Lions even thought they are in the same division as the Packers. I would actually like to see them do well for a change.
Cards have been a joke ever since i can remember too.

I think he meant the 80s. Lead by one Martin Schottenheimer, with Bernie Kosar running the offense. These things run in cycles, Tampa Bay was once the joke of the league, along with Cinn., now TB has a Superbowl win, but is falling back again. Cinn seems to be making progress after 12 bad years. SD, AZ, even the Jets and Pats were once total jokes. The older proud Bear's fans properly remember the Abe Gidron, Bobby Douglas days too. The Lions might finally get something done once Millen is canned. To me it all goes back to the owner, if he sucks then the team will too.

The Lions are bad NOW, but the all time winner is the Saints I do believe. Didn't they just win their first playoff game? Honestly I think Oakland is more embarrassing than the Lions, because they can't even find coaches. Do you know how many people have straight up declined to even interview for the job? On top of that a college Quarterbacks Coach with no head coaching experience declined the job. Add to that Aaron Brooks, Robert Gallery, Randy Moss, and Art Shell and you have the most embarrassing franchise of right now.

But no one declines the offer, they simply choose poorly.

Its not that use young Browns fans dont have respect for our team, the team had no respect for us!!!!
They moved us to Baltimore, then raised the ticket prices every year despite winning less than 6 games a season. They blew all of our picks (Couch<Mcnabb)(Warren<Tomlinson) and the list goes on.
Our stadium has continually sold out over the years, and what did they do? Move our favorite NFL team.
They had no respect.
Thank god Phil Savage is bringing it back.

If we're talking about all-time, it would be best to do this by all-time winning percentage.
Team Winning Percentage (not including postseason)
1. Texans .300 (maybe unfair because the franchise is still pretty new)
2a. Saints .409
2b. Falcons .409
3. Cardinals .412
4. Bengals .439
5. Jets .455
Lions would be #8 on the list, if anybody was wondering.

The Falcons have never in franchise history had consecutive winning seasons. That's not exactly a bright spot to look back on.

Lions do have a very poor history with only one playoff win and very few playoff attempts in the 60s, 70s and 80s. Lions actually won some championships in the 50s though.
However, in the 90s we were a decent team. Then Millen ruined it.
Lions made the playoffs 6 out 10 years in the 90s. Once in 1999 without Barry Sanders.
Lions were 9-7 in 2000 and just missed the playoffs.
Then Millen took over in 2001 and destroyed the team.

The Detroit Millens stink.

All-timethe saints are the most pathetic. If this was asked last year I think everybody would say the saints because before this year they won 1 playoff game in franchise history. Currently the lions are most embarrassing

I feel the same way.. sure the Lions are horrible but at least at one point in history they were good. in the 50's matter of fact, there weren't 2 better teams in the world then the Browns and Lions.
Lions had 3 NFL Championships.. browns had 2 or 3. Jim Brown, Bobby Layne, Doak Walker... definitely not the worst ever.
the m,ost embarassing franchise is hands down the cardinals, with the saints being a close second. Saints only edge them out because Jim Mora had them doing pretty well in the 80's/early-mid 90's and they have been doing all right lately.
The Cardinals have sucked from Chicago to St. Louis to Phoenix so they win the award

The Cardinals, easily. At least Detroit brought the world years of Barry Sanders excellence.

Actually the list is this:
Established NFL teams from 1976 forward:
1) Tampa Bay .387
2) New Orleans .409
2) Atlanta .409
3) Arizona .412
4) Cinn. .439
5) NY Jets .455
6) Detroit .470
Regular Season only
Recent Expansion Teams
Carolina .469 since 1995 season
Jax .531 since 1995 season
Houston .300 since 2002 season
Highest Win pct (Reg Season)
1) Miami .593 AFL-NFL Combined Post Merger (since 1970).623
2) Chicago .579
3) Dallas .572
4) Oakland .567 AFL-NFL Combined Post Merger (since 1970).567
5) Cleve. .563
6) GB .553
Of note the Pittsburgh Steelers have only a .505 winning pct., despite a high level of play for the last 35 years (ie very few losing seasons). Prior to that they were long considered the worst team in the sport for decades.

Lions
Cardinals
Saints
Bengals
All have been consistently bad for a number of years. I would even say the Chargers could be up there.

The Lions are pretty embarrassing. Drafting 3 WRs in the top 10 3 consecutive years is beyond stupid. Also, the fact they they are keeping Millen is a complete joke. Where does the owner think he will go with Millen? It's just pathetic.
