Untill Brett Favre publicly says he wants to return I ain't buying any of these rumors. So far all Favre has done is say they aren't true.

He just isn't much of a journalist anymore. He doesn't post any facts or quotes of any kind in his writing, but just writes speculation and his own opinion.

If the Packers are so confident in Rodgers they should be embracing the chance to trade Favre somewhere to try and acquire something of worth. Maybe a 4th round pick or developmental player.
I already know packer fans will argue that trading brett might piss people off or ruin his legacy blah blah, but winning cures a lot. If Rodgers won 10 games, no one would care. I would encourage him to come back and unload him for something else.

I just wish all of the Favre rumors would go away. Didn't help that Peter King wrote the article but still, shut up with them already. Until something happens, stop the speculating.

I do hope Favre comes back to be honest, he can still play great and I wish I appreciated him more than criticized him as I have and being sick of him getting constantly mentioned/slurped. I should have ignored that and paid more attention to the '07 Packers in retrospect.
Of course, if he does come back, a BIG decision awaits the Packers. Either they trade away a legend (I'll mention again Miami) or Aaron Rodgers works on his Jim Sorgi impersonation for yet another season.

Other then the fact that Brett has said he doesn't want to play for any other team but the Packers...

If Favre wants to contend for another championship, there's no better place for him than in Green Bay.
If he plays elsewhere, it's love for the game coupled with the decision to part ways with Ted Thompson and his Packers.

Packers fans have been in denial about Favre's selfish egomaniacal personality for years. Some things apparently never change.

That's nonsense. This has nothing to do with Favre's personality. This is all King, Mortensen, and the legion of hacks trying to fill in space between minicamps and training camps with the topic of the day. A whisper of a rumor has led to rampant specualtion. There are what - at least 8 articles on ESPN addressing this very topic?
The Packers have no comment - Favre has had no comment. So all of these jockstrap pundits take it upon themselves to fill in the dead space.
Let me warn against feeding the troll wearing the dark blue 51 jersey. He's poking at embers and knows it.

There is no question he loves the spotlight or at least in his younger days, once I saw Favre last career pass an INT I thought he would come back.

All Favre has done up to this point is deny it by stating it's all rumor. Aren't cerebral titans such as youself supposed to reserve from jumping to conclusions?
I'm not denying Lord Favre's influence over many fans, but at leased we've had a QB half worthy of an ego in the last 20 years :)
