I also think that Charles Godfrey could by dynamite for the panthers at FS teaming with the hard hitting wrecking ball that is Harris.

I was curious, caddy as to who is the long term QB on the roster. Garcia is almost 40 and can't keep on forever. Simms seems to be in the dog house and Johnson though a great Div II Qb isn't NFL ready yet?

Simms is as good as gone and Griese definitely isn't the guy. I'm thinking if this is Garcia's last year, then McCown will be the starter. He has the athleticism that Gruden likes, he has been in the system for several seasons and he is still only 26. Josh Johnson could have a chance and is an ideal fit for the offense, but he might well take a minimum of two seasons before he is ready for action.

Your childlike obsession with bashing the rest of the AFC West has obviously destroyed your sense of sarcasm.

Joe Flacco has a higher chance of becoming an instant star than Matt Ryan? Joe Flacco shouldnt even be playing his first year!

Man I hate analysts like these. I bet half the posters on NFLDC can write better than half the analysts that get paid for it.

Definately was expecting to see James Hardy, leaving him off was a mistake...Regardless of how rookie WR's adjust, Trent Edwards will be more comfortable throwing to him more so then Lee Evans as a safety valve with his huge frame, and the coaches talked about their struggles in the redzone and how they want him to help in that aspect...Sweed should be given the same redzone opportunities and he does have great jump ball skills, I would expect 4 TD's from him, but overall he shouldn't be as involved in their offense as Hardy will be.

With McFadden and Fargas sharing the load in Oakland, and with Carolina's Jonathan Stewart coming off a toe injury, Mendenhall has a chance to be the leading rusher among all rookies. The Steelers have to be considered a contender in the AFC, and Mendenhall makes them better.
Anyone else confused by this logic? Steelers will have a great 1-2 punch, but Mendenhall will run away with the leader rusher cuz McFadden and Stewart will be sharing carries? Won't Mendenhall do that as well, hence a 1-2 punch?

I could definitely see him having a great rookie year. Also a plus for him is Atlanta's offense is pretty bad, so he'll be on the field a lot. Just like Willis last year.

What have been your impressions of rookie third-round pick Earl Bennett?

From Day 1 to now, he’s improved tremendously. He’s just an outstanding young man. He has a great deal of ability. He’s very deceptive with his speed. We just need to continue to work him and bring him along. I’ve been impressed with him as a person—his work ethic and his ability to pick things up.

This comes from the WR Coach Darrly Drake
