So pretty much every team will have a similar record to last year.

Do people actually realize that there are teams every year that dont make the playoffs although they made it the year before? Thats what i liked. Its the Any Given Sunday clause. Why should basically all the same teams make it? I dont see it

The Saints defense isn't that bad dude. You think the Minny offense is better than the Saints defense?

First of all, we aren't talking about Minnesota. That has no relevance whatsoever. And the Saints were 26th in total defense and 24th in scoring defense last year. You got Vilma, that will help a lot, but you still won't have a defense that can get you to the Super Bowl.

AFC North
Pittsburg(10-6) The year Tobin shows if he has what it takes
Cincinnati(9-7) If Lewis had been fired, I'd rate them ahead of the Steelers
Cleveland(8-8)* Anderson will have to prove he's the real deal
Baltimore(5-11) Whose at QB???

AFC South
Indianapolis(11-5) Peyton is Peyton
Houston(9-7) Improving team that will challenge Jacks for # 2 spot
Jacksonville(9-7)Is Garrard anything special, we'll have to find out
Tennessee(7-9) Young simply doesn't have the weapons around him to get any higher. Watch out when he does

AFC East
New England(13-3) Best team still
New York Jets(8-8) Will be improved but still a ways to go
Buffalo 6-10 Edwards needs more experience to get much higher than this
Miami (3-13) rebuilding

AFC West
San Diego(10-6) I still question Turner as a HC otherwise 12-4 would be my guess
Denver(8-8) Just too many holes to rate much higher, a year away
Oakland(8-8) Improving team, could be awfully scary in a season or 2
Kansas City (3-13) Rebuilding

NFC

NFC North
Minnesota(9-7) Jackson is still a year away from being a decent QB
Chicago(8-8) Still needs a QB and questionable at RB
Green Bay(6-10) Could finish higher but no Tedford QB has ever amounted to much
Detroit(4-12) Team is a shambles, bad drafts limit them severely. Totally incompetent owner and GM who haven't a clue

NFC South
New Orleans(11-5)y Great draft to get Ellis, serious contender no matter what Bush haters say
Carolina(8-8) Big hole at QB IMO.
Tampa Bay(7-9) Just not enough talent to expect much more
Atlanta(4-12) in a total rebuild

NFC East
Dallas(12-4)z Division winner but can Romo get them deep into the playoffs???
N.Y. Giants(11-5) Eli has matured, should be a solid threat to repeat
Philadelphia(9-7) It's all on McNabb's health, could be better or could be a lot worse
Washington(6-10) The year the Washington fans find out that Gibbs was doing a tremendous job, without him they are very mediocre

NFC West
Arizona(9-7) All depends on whether or not Lienart develops in his 3rd year
Seattle(9-7) Could finish higher but not a threat to win the SB
St. Louis(6-10) Is their HC capable????
San Francisco(4-12) Nolan gets fired unless Martz can get Smith up to snuff.

Awards:
MVP-Brady
Defensive Player Of The Year-Osi Umenyiora
Offensive Rookie Of The Year-McFadden
Defensive Rookie Of The Year-Sedrick Ellis

AFC
Houston @ Pittsburgh -If Tobin proves capable, then Pittsburgh wins
Jacksonville @ Indianapolis -Indy in a close one
NFC
Seattle @ Minnesota -Seattle just too experienced
Arizona @ New York -New York easily

AFC
Houston @ New England -NE in a walk
San Diego @ Indianapolis -Indy but not by much
NFC
Seattle @ Dallas -Romo collapses again in a big game or maybe not
N.Y. Giants @ New Orleans -NYG's finally have SB curse catch up to them

AFC
Indianapolis @ New England -Close game to decide SB champion
NFC
Seattle @ New Orleans -New Orleans in a close game

Super Bowl
New Orleans vs New England -NE just too much for New Orleans

Super Bowl Champion
New England -makes up for loss last year

Tom Brady MVP of Super Bowl

Sorry, figured you were one of those Viking fans that think they'll be in the Super Bowl. And we don't need the best defense in the NFL to win, the offense wins games.

I think its pretty rare for a team with a strong O & weak D to be make it to the superbowl. I'm a pretty firm believer in a balanced team being stronger than a 1 sided team. Last year alone, all the 1 sided teams got shut out of the play offs; Cinci (10th in yards per a game), N.O.(4th), Cleveland(8th), Arizona(12th) and Eagles(6th - though 10th defensively in yards per a game) were all pretty strong offenses.

Though I still think the Saints made enough changes to their front 7 to have a good enough defense that they may make the play offs.

Ummm, I hate them, but they did win 18 games. That's not exactly the best argument for offenses not being able to win games.

The only big weakness on the Saints defense is Free Safety and Weak Side Linebacker. Other than that, maybe Right Corner Back for those that don't believe in Randall *** or Tracy Porter. Also, all of the above mentioned positions will be there for the taking in training camp. The rest of the defense is pretty much set.

RDE, Will Smith
DT, Brian Young
NT, Sedrick Ellis
LDE, Charles Grant / Bobby McCray

WLB, Scott Shanle
MLB, Jonathan Vilma
SLB, Scott Fujita

FS, Josh Bullocks
SS, Roman Harper

RCB, Randall ***
LCB, Mike McKenzie

I'm not saying this group is going to be top 10 but I think we can get to the super bowl with a top 3 offense and top 15 defense.

Giants Super Bowl curse? Isn't the curse if you LOSE the Super Bowl?

and saintsfan, counting on rookies *** and Porter and CB? That's a hole right there. A 2nd rounder and a late rounder who went to Loserville? That's hardly a top 15 defense, and I wouldn't consider NO a top 3 offense either...
