This is such amazing news. I was worried to much about RBs gashing us up from the middle for a constant 5-6 yard gain. I know Jackson wont be able to stop that by himself, but he is going to help. A lot.

Its great news, not getting a DT in the draft is not a problem now that Gradys back.

I'm still wondering how much he has left in the tank.
Also, Von Hutchins is going to be on IR for this year.

I'm sure he can be fine. I mean how long did Ted Washington stick around for? He just really needs to be that big roadblock in the middle, that will
A) Eat up runningbacks coming through
B) Keep blockers off of Lofton
C) Force runs to the outside (Brooking/Boley)
I think he should be alright to still do that.

Yes, him starting at NT with Babineaux at UT will take away that position from weakness. And hopefully Rashad Moore at 353 can be solid, because Grady's only real flaw is that he needs quite a few snaps off. But imagine trying to run up the gut with those two on 4th and 1.

Signing Grady IMO was always going to happen, however im surprised how early he signed and in his interview on AF.com he said he will be practising tommorow. I thought he would try and wait and sign towards the end of camp to avoid the two-a-days lol.
IMO the loss of Hutchins is quite substantial even though, in all reality Jackson Grimes and Houston will likley become far better players. To me a proven vet, even if he is buried at #5 on the depth chart (behind Irons Grimes Jacksona nd Houston), can really help the development of young-high potential players (see joe horn and roddy white). Ty Law is one guy who comes to mind but i dont expect us to sign him, although i do think it would have a Joe Horn style impact on our younger players. Im not sure who is out there in F/A but i would love a veteran presence among the 4 guys who are all 24 or under.
I am actually quite excited about the safety position at the moment, it really looks like clockwork. We will have two seasoned-ready now guys, in Milloy and Colemen, two future guys with huge potential in Stone and Decoud and one special teams ace in Deke Cooper

I think our secondary will be better then most people think, eveyone is saying we will get killed in the passing game but im confident in our young corners and our veteran safeties. I really like us bringing in Chevis Jackson and Erik Coleman, two guys that i think will surprize many this year. Daren Stone, Thomas Decoud, Wilrey Fontenot, David Irons, Brent Grimes are all great young backups and will be special team studs.

Ah yeah, i forgot about Fontenot. JMichael Moore on AF.com described him as the football equilivant of an annoying house fly as he is always all over the recievers. If we carry him too that will be 5 24 years and under guys. Sure it has potential but once again, i was more comfortable when we had Von there with the young guys and would be more comfortable now if we replaced Von with another Vet.
i pressume we keep 5 safeties. What about Corners? Theres the 5 young guys we have mentioned, will we keep 6? The extra guy being Blue, Harris or maybe a F/A? 5-6 is normal right?

Ted Washington was horrible in his later years.

Sarcasm? DT is still a huge issue.

Well, you know what I mean. He didn't retire till he was what? 40? I think Grady can handle himself at 35. He really doesn't even have to make plays on the ball. We've got a very nice set of LBs. Just keep people off them.

Yeah, that's the idea. Let the linebackers make the plays.
