I'm going against the grain on this one to say that sounds like a terrible beer.

I have had it and wasn't a huge fan. The smokey and sweet flavors were overwhelming imo.

I assume the same. Nothing about it sounds like a good beer except maple.

For what all it has to offer, I figure it wouldnt be bad to at least try. Then again, it's hard to say what beer I've yet to drink that I would try. Unless it was called, like, "Deer Urine Ale."

That's unfortunate. Two Hearted on tap is beyond good.

I wouldn't tell you not to try it. It certainly delivers a unique experience and, while I didn't much care for the final product, you can tell that they put effort into the beer if that makes any sense.

It's on a tier just above dogfish head 90 IMO. A hops fan's dream beer.

An interesting story about this beer one of the smaller beer bars in philly sold it at the same price as yuengling I asked the owner why he did it and he said "Just to show people here that Yuengling isn't the greatest beer ever."
On another note
My Thanksgiving vacation starts with this a local breweries Saratoga IPA it claims to be a "West Coast Style IPA" which I read as Imperial or double which isn't the case with this beer. As an IPA though its very good. A different hop profile than most of the IPAs that I've had. A pleasant surprise from this moderately priced beer.

i wouldn't say i don't like two hearted/racer 5, i mean, they're not bad, they're just not incredible.
black racer is easily one of my favorite beers ever, titan's a go to for a standard ipa, i've always liked dogfish 90 minute and port's wipeout (though they follow in the same mold as racer 5, ultimately), tommy knocker's black strike is solid, ska's modus hoperandi was pretty solid, and i like avery's warrior. mountain sun's illusion dweller is fantastic, but i'm not sure it's even bottled.
i'm spoiled, though. i can wander into, say, great divide any given saturday and they'll usually have a keg of something one of their brewers invented that won't ever make it to a bottle or store.

I suggest if you somehow have the chance to buy (everything's probably closed though) pumpkin beer today to drink with your Thanksgiving meal, do it!

I have been disappointed in most of the pumpkin beers I have had. Only 2 I have really liked are Dogfish head's Punkin Ale and Smuttynose's offering. I really want to try Cigar City's as well.

I think I'm going to stay away from beers in a green bottle like Heineken, Rolling Rock and Dos Equis. They all taste the same. I'm looking for a nice beer with a caramel-ly taste. Kind of like Sam Adams Octoberfest. Any recommendations?

I spent last night drinking many of two different beers:
Franconia Winter Wheat and Anchor's winter seasonal
The Franconia one might have been the best winter beer I've ever had. And, of course, Anchor's was awesome (as are all their beers).
