Bucs trade OL Dan Buenning to Bears.

It's a smart trade for both teams depending on the conditional pick. Bucs have two young OG they used day 1 picks on and we absolutely need help at OL.

We'll take all the help we can get. The Bucs have a nice young O-Line. I was pretty pissed when they picked Aaron Sears a few picks ahead of us in 2007.

6th round draft choice. The one the Bucs gave up for Griese.

Brief insight on Buenning. 4th rounder out of Wisconsin. He was considered by most a borderline pro-bowl caliber Guard his rookie year, hurt his knee and was never the same.
The Bucs have tried to make him a jack of all trades at every position on the line, especially center, but it never really panned out.
He can into camp muy gordo, for a lineman.

Buenning is a pretty solid guard but was buried on the depth chart here in Tampa due largely to injury. Pretty no-nonsense trade if you ask me. Day 2 pick for a depth player.

Seems like though we waived Bowman which is kind of disappointing
