Lofton can not cover.
We need new linebackers on the outside who can run and tackle.

Players tend to bolt after they get a SB ring, so maybe if the Cards win, the chance Dansby hits FA is higher.
If he hits FA, I think we heavily pursue him.

What do you think about Anquan Boldin... Im not saying we should get him, but before the year started he said he wouldnt be here next year, and even though they are in the Super Bowl, a shock to everybody, he ws angry on the sidelines cuz i think the coaches wouldnt let him in when he wanted to (I didnt watch the whole game, IDK if i ever saw him in once)
Anybody think Boldin is gonna leave??
I hpe Dansby leaves. I like him

It might have been a joke...
Also, I love Lofton, but I agree that he's really only a two down linebacker. If we keep Boley, then he's probably the guy, but otherwise Coleman. I'd be surprised if a new guy got it, it would seem to make more sense for someone with fuller knowledge of the scheme to have it.

Are there any good FA Tight Ends? That is really the only missing piece to the passing attack.

That would be awesome, but I don't think Houston would let him go.

Uh oh.
After thinking about it, I'm not a big fan of Michael Johnson.
He reminds me too much of Kalimba Edwards and Jarvis Moss.

well, so that means we defnetly have a DE coming into town, whether it be draft or FA.... I hope Anderson produces well.... i mean, if he isnt going to produce well, then sure get rid of him, but at least they are giving him another chance. Plus, he'd be a pretty damn fast DT

Babs is qucker/faster/stronger. JA has nothing except his big frame. He will not be a falcon for too long.

Haven't heard any issues. He's just one of those guys who are choosing not to attend.

Here are some (if not all) TE FAs:
Owen Daniels, UFA, Houston Texans
Will Heller, UFA, Seattle Seahawks
Eric Johnson, UFA, New Orleans Saints
Jeff King, RFA, Carolina Panthers
Jim Kleinsasser, UFA, Minnesota Vikings
Leonard Pope, UFA, Arizona Cardinals
Daniel Wilcox, UFA, Baltimore Ravens
L.J. Smith, UFA, Philadelphia
Bo Scaife, UFA, Tennessee
Daniels has had success in Houston and it seems as if they are always on the rise (at the end of the season at least) so the chances of him leaving are slim. However, if he does hit the market, I expect us to be the front runners in getting him. We have some good space left and could get him a good, not overpriced, contract like we did for Michael Turner. Daniels would be amazing for this offense.
I like Bo Scaife and Eric Johnson as well. Pope would be a nice red zone threat.

With Gresham returning to college Brandon Pettigrew's stock climbs. I wouldn't like him in the first but thats likely where he will go now.

For Lofton, I believe he could easily be a 3 down linebacker but maybe it's just me.
For Dansby, I believe he could want to come home to Atlanta. Being he is from Birmingham, Alabama, and went to Auburn and lives in Atlanta now, he would be a great fit here.

Could you guys imagine Aaron Curry as a Falcon? Now that Taylor Mays is out, I think Aaron Curry is my man crush of this draft. He will be amazing.
I didn't know that about Dansby. If so, we have a huge leg up on competition if he hits FA.

Aaron Curry will not be a falcon, :(. I dont like any 4-3 OLBers of this class besides him. I think next year will be much better but we cant wait till then. We gotta go after Dansby.

I know he won't be one. It is just one of my pipe dreams, like Calvin Johnson and D'Brickshaw Ferguson.
I am kind of warming up to the idea of Brian Cushing. He gets overlooked on that stacked USC defense. He has great measurables and makes some plays on a star studded defense. Give him a somewhat more porous defense and I think his stock would be much higher because of the impact he could make.

I like Brian Cushing as well but a huge concern is durability and that bothers me. He has trouble staying healthy and has played injured. I like his size and the athleticism is superb.
