Yes that's true.

But my point was the offense should be much better. We have had the exact same guys for 3 years now. We really need a speedy play maker. Someone like Desean Jackson, or a scat back.

yeah agreed. i can't help but draw comparisons to the patriots since we're doing it "the patriots way" but i feel like we're a very poor man's patriots offense. they never had a scatback or dynamic playmaker like a desean jackson but i feel like they made it work but we won't be able to. maybe ryan will get hurt and john parker wilson will be our tom brady.

ok that was a stupid paragraph. but i'm really starting to lose faith in this coaching staff. the playcalling is terrible. and anyone know how serious dunta's injury is?

Bad offensive line and horrible playcalling is a horrendous combination that has haunted us all season.

Let's just say Bengals defensive coordinator Mike Zimmer doesn't look back fondly on his days coaching under Bobby Petrino in Atlanta.

"He's a gutless bastard. Quote that. I don't give a s---," Zimmer said Wednesday, according to Joe Reedy of the Cincinnati Enquirer.

When Zimmer was told that responsible news organization may not be able to use "bastard," Zimmer responded:

"How about this, gutless MF. You can use that." (Awesome. Much appreciated.)

Petrino famously didn't tell any of his assistants that he was leaving Atlanta for the head coaching job at Arkansas. On Sunday, Zimmer's Bengals face a Falcons team that has been almost completely remade since 2007, especially on defense.

Meanwhile, the "gutless bastard" has Arkansas back in the top 25 in college football.

"Woo Pig Sooie!"

UPDATE: More from Zimmer, via Reedy: "[Petrino] is a coward. Put that in quotes. He ruined a bunch of people's lives, a bunch of people's families, kids, because he didn't have enough nuts to stay there and finish the job. That's the truth."

I always liked Zimmer. I just hope he doesn't do a good job this sunday. ;-)

Cover all curl and out routes, and put someone with something resembling speed or power on Sam Baker and he should be fine.



I must say though, I really hope we absolutely destroy. I hate being so miserable about this team, and another poor performance would really piss me off heading into the bye.

Man Roddy White is the best WR is the league and it's not even close. He's single handedly winning games for us. That's just something unreal from his position.
