I know Lofton is a good player, but I'm not that concerned about losing him. There are better positions to throw big contracts at than 4-3 MLB. I'd rather see big money for defense thrown at lineman and cornerbacks first.

I'd have no problem if it meant we were signing McNeil or bringing in another CB. But most of the CBs are off the market and we seem to be content with Baker as our starting LT, which is embarrassing.

Disappointed we couldn't put that up. Obviously didn't think much of him. Probably Nolan IMO.

He's not a big playmaker but it's one more position to worry about.

Look into Nolan's history you'll see he always had very successful inside linebackers. I'm sure letting Lofton walk won't be a problem for us.

Pretty shocked we let him go for $30 mil. What did Lofa end up getting? And if thats the case let Harry Douglas walk and pay Lofton IMO if it was just a cap thing.

I think it had more to do with Nolan told him he was gonna be standing next to him on 3rd down instead of between the hashes.

taints only had 1 LB and he may be suspended for the year. Lofton will get to play on 3rd down in NO
