Nice to have the 10 point lead, but with the three turnovers it could be even better. I'm also worried that we haven't stopped the Vikings once...

Congrats so far guys. Looks like you control your own destiny now as far as the playoffs go. You definitely deserve to be there over the Bucs right now.

my thoughts from the game:
-i love coy wire and don't miss boley when he's on the field
-brad childress is a horrible coach and i feel sorry for the vikes players
-tavaris jackson makes me miss our #7
-our defense has gotta perform better in the playoffs

YES! PLAYOFFS!
If the Giants win, we could even have a chance at the division!!

vikings are a very tough team. You guys really need a QB though, and those turnovers killed ya. Good game and good luck.

I do not understand how the weekend could go better for Falcon fans if the Panthers lose tonight. Dallas loss. Tampa Bay loss (both home losses for them). Philly lost. Possible Carolina loss. Atlanta win.

What a game!! Watched it at work and was stunned seeing them win, and also TB and Philly losing, especially on that last play that was less than a foot from a TD. And right now, the Giants tied it up. They just need to stop DeAngelo. He is a hell of a running back, i will admit

Overtime... hate the Giants, but have found myself rooting for them to win lately b/c of who they keep playing

More likely that we win than Carolina does, so as long as we do our part as well, we definetly need to root for the Saints... but i gotta question. Say we get the 5 or even 6 seed Wild Card... we will have a better record than the Vikings (cuz of our win) and the Cards, so is the game at their place or ours b/c of our record. Heard about the rule before, but never cared since ATL hadnt made the playoffs in 4 years

pretty sure it's their place because... division > wildcard.

While I'm thrilled about the win and getting into the playoffs, it seemed like the Vikings outplayed us. Our defense was just bad. Missing tackles, not keeping an eye on Tavaris, holes in the zone, etc. It feels like the Viking beat themselves and we just happened to be in the right places at the right times.
But a win's a win. We'll just have to hope the defense gets it together for the playoffs.
Rather unbelievably, we still have a shot at winning the division and getting a first round bye. Next week will sure be fun!

The Vikings have a pretty good team, I don't think there's any shame in being outplayed by them on the road. The fact is, we played better than them, because we didn't make mistakes.
With that running game, if Jackson passes the ball well and runs the ball, they'll be difficult to stop. The downside is, Jackson is prone to mistakes. He made mistakes, and we took advantage of them.
I have to say, I wouldn't fancy facing the Vikings in the wild card game in their dome again... I'd much rather face the Cardinals (or, if the Saints play ball, have a bye).
