This isnt to blame on Ryan. What the hell was our D doing all game??? I mean, that 3rd and 16 was God-awful. One of the worst plays Ive seen a defense cover in my entire life. This is what the Cards do: 1 - run it just to run it to the 2 minute warning and if they dont get a first down or in FG range punt it or 2 - throw it to get a first down. Brooking was playing it like a run when he didnt need to at that point and that left the Cards guy wide open.
3 plays in this game absolutly killed us:
The fumble at the start of the 3rd quarter
Matt Ryan 2nd INT when the short 5-15 yard passes are working and they throw a bomb
and the defensive play at the end
we lost it

Keith Brooking better not come back to Atlanta, or I will personally rip his dick off.

i'm upset too but seriously.. a little too far don't ya think?
our defense was inconsistent and not a strong group. i knew that going into the playoffs but kept thinking about what the giants pulled off last year and was very hopeful. you guys can't be this hard on ryan. he's played well this year but he's a rookie. with a good draft class of defensive players, next year we'll be stronger. hold your heads up.

**** THIS TEAM. **** IT! 3RD AND ******* 16! YOU ******* STUPID **** THIS IS ******* THE ARIZONA ******* CARDINALS, NOT THE ******* STEELERS. THEY PASS THE ******* BALL. **** YOU KEITH BROOKING. **** **** **** YOU.
**** YOU!!!
******* garbage ass Harvey Dahl, you ******* suck you STUPID **** **** you. **** you. GET BLOWN OFF THE ******* BALL so there is a fumble for a turnover. THEN the next drive hold when we get a first down.
**** YOU.
This team was mentally fragile and not ready. ****. They did not even look perpared.
Sam Baker, why the hell were you on the field. You were the last person off hte ball.
**** YOU!
And while Matt Ryan made mistakes, he was the only reason we scored any points. Any. He had no pass protection at all, no running game at all.
**** THE OFFENSIVE COORDINATOR. MIKE ******* MULARKEY. We drafted MATT RYAN third overall to win games. Not to hand it off when we are getting two yards a carry. Matt Ryan went into the half on fire, yet we don't give him the ball in the second half.
I'm so mad.
****.

honestly, Turner got the ball like 3 times in the 2nd half... maybe more, but it wasnt alot.
As bad as this game was for us, and as pissed as all of us are, it was still a good year, but thats not the way I want to end the year
Why couldnt Kasay miss a FG when we needed him to????

Do people now realise we need a new interior line, except Blalock? McClure and Dahl, especially Dahl, got worked all game.

I mean... we lost by 6. Considering how the Cardinals played and how the Falcons played... IMO it should have been more than 6. Then again, I also believe we should have won. Our O-Line was bad. And that safety was a dumb rule. If you're not getting pushed backwards and you are not being taken down, let them play, who knows what could have come out of that drive
We made more mistakes than the Cardinals. They barely made any. That INT we got was lucky more than a mistake. We capitalized in the first half. We didnt for most of the 2nd

I'm trying to find some humor in this. The best thing I can think of is that Sam Baker looked like the defensive version of Jamaal Anderson coming of the ball.

Dahl looked even worse.
Even so, Baker should be better next season after some rest. I'm hoping anyway. I'm going to make a mock, soon. So I can take out my anger.

we don't need a new interior line. we need a new RT to be signed like Vernon Carey so that Clabo can play RG.

Berry was offsides almost every play. that has nothing to do with BAker, the entire OL was late if you go by Berry.

That would mean a change to the interior offensive line.

Well, we gotta realize our team is full of inexperienced players. This is the first playoff game for a lot of them. Anybody thats been on our team the previous 4 years hasnt been to the playoffs. Turner is having his first big playoff game, Ryan is a rook. I mean, other than Milloy, Brooking, Abraham, and a few of the linemen and bench guys, not much playoff experience.
You can say the same for the Cardinals, but Kurt Warner makes up for it all by himself. Plus, Edge has been in the playoffs as well, so those guys know what they need to do.
All I can say it there isnt any team I want to win the Super Bowl, but there are a lot I dont... we are finished and that is too bad

The thing is, as bad as he was he was better than our offensive line and Michael Turner.
Our receivers played well except the one deep drop by Roddy. They were the lone offensive bright spot. I also liked Matt Ryan at the end of the halfs.
Man, I really would have liked to see our defense get a stop against Tampa Bay (the first time), New Orleans (the second time), the Eagles, and obviously today.
Our defense can not get a stop when we need it.

Ryan played pretty well. outside of 3-4 bad passes including the 2 INT's he played a veteran game. he's a rook and sooner or later those 3-4 passes will become only 1-2 bad passes and 1 INT.

God no. He was awful. The 2 turnover and that stupid ass play in the endzone.

He played bad, but the safety should have been a completed pass. I was furious. If that is Ben Roethlisberger they let the play go through, and he gets the ball off. For Matt Ryan they blow it dead, saying it was a sack.

rookie qbs in the playoffs can do that to you. I think you guys need to be grateful for the season you had, it was a successful one too.

I'm not sure.
Any thoughts on what position we go for first round? My top five are in bold.
QB- Not a need.
RB- Not a need, but Norwood is criminally underused. Turner obviously was having a bad day, yet Norwood still was not oft used.
FB- Not a need.
WR- I was a big proponant of this, but now it is obvious we have bigger needs.
TE- I don't like the value unless Gresham is there, and I doubt he is.
OT- I don't think we will grab one of these early.
OG- I would love Duke Robinson
OC- Alex Mack could play guard or center.
DE- A need. The pass rush today was pathetic.
DT- A need, but I think we can get by with this group.
SLB- Coy Wire. Lol. He started over Boley, who must be in the dog house and is probably a free agent to be let go.
MLB- Lofton had a very good game.
WLB- Keith Brooking needs to be cut.
CB- Houston is very good on short routes, but lacks on deep routes. Foxworth is average at best. Chevis Jackson is a beast. Grimes tries hard but lacks physical tools.
FS- Coleman got trucked a few times today, but he is solid in coverage.
SS- I like Milloy, but he is getting old.
K- Elam is great.
P- Koenan is great.
I'm not sure what I think the top need is, though.

I think Foxworth is good. He's not great, but he's better then average. I'm a sucker for the pass rush, so I'd be all over DE. I must say, I'm quite happy with Jenkins. I didn't love the deal, and wanted a better target, but I'm pretty happy with what he's giving us now.
