I love to hunt people down in the Free Roam. I like it when the don't see me coming until the last second then I just hit em with the double barrel. I have yet to unlock the High Powered Pistol so I roll around with the shotty.

So...it is like a Western version of Fable II? Huge maps, huge amount of non-story-related activities, and of course the story?
If it's like Fable 2 I'd buy it right now, I love those types of games.

Yea GTA Wild West is the best analogy. But free roam online is with up to 15 other player controlled characters which often causes alot of mayhem

Haven't played around in free roam yet, but are there some NPCs in it too? Like if you walk into the Armadillo saloon will there be randoms in there?

Yeah I'm pretty sure. I know that there's still NPCs riding horses on the roads

It's GTA meets Oregon Trail. For some reason it doesn't seem as redundant as GTA though, it's worth buying but I don't feel that it's a must have or anything.

I still cant believe how well its been received.
The scores are right up there with Uncharted 2, Mass Effect 2, Bioshock, GTA 4, the Orange Box. Some of the greatest games ever made.
Outscores Gears 1 + 2, Oblivion, Fallout 3, etc.
Using Metacritic as a source.
I certainly didnt expect it to be such a success. I should be picking it up after midnight tonight, if my Walmart still has a copy.

I'll be on tomorrow for sure to play some free roam and hunt some bears. I think I'll hogtie a woman to use as bait, I hear the bears can smell their menstruation.

I'm nearing the end of the RDR main story and it's starting to get really epic. Definitely excited to see the ending.

It's a great game but I don't think it's quite at that level. There is a lot of stuff to do so you don't get bored but it hasn't made me go HOLY **** THIS IS AWESOME like I did for GTA, Bioshock, and Gears 1+2.
But I haven't progressed far in the story mode and apparently it's insanely epic at the end. Also I haven't gone online with it yet(will today hopefully) and it sounds really epic. Those probably bumped the ratings considerably.

They had an awesome update for Netflix streaming. Lots of Comedy Central shows and old Nickelodeon cartoons. I also saw Pandorum, District 9, and Up in the movie section.

Just beat RDR, definitely one of the best stories to a game I've ever played.

For sure. I've wanted to get going with something online, but I've been hooked on the story. I still want to get something going on with some people from here though.

Ugh, **** whatever the problem is. My 360 refuses to play in HD. I've tried all the unplugging and nothing happens. Anything I can do or am I stuck in SD?

On the right side of the cable there is the option for HD and normal, I missed that at first.

Nope. I'm in HD. This blows. I'll get used to it though I suppose.

I always forget to ask but did anyone buy/rent/play FIFA 10 World Cup?
If so, what did you think?

Did I post this already? I've been having a ball playing Prototype, it's the first game I've played that really recaptures that Spiderman2 experience of having undeniable freedom to move around an entire city at high speed. Definitely a spiritual successor to that game. Plus the action is pretty terrific.

Have you tried changing the options of your viewing in the microsoft marketplace? I had this problem when I bought my HDMI cord and it was still all jacked up until I went to the specs in one of those screens and it changed for me.

Game has plenty of flaws, but there is major fun to have indeed. It's fun no doubt. Overall, it was a disappointment for me, since I was waiting for it forever, but the game gets more attractive the more the price drops. I beat it on a rent, but will pick it up when it gets closer to $20. (I actually think it's like $25 used now) Dont get me wrong, I actually really liked it, I just thought it was going to be mind blowingly great. Barry Pepper for the win.
For the PS3 owner...inFamous does damn near everything better than Prototype. But they're both fun. Prototype can certainly frustrate, though. Not the easiest game out there, and a lot of that is do, to poor design and a cluster **** of enemies on the screen.
