I found myself drawn to Merrill I think because she was naive/cute and bat **** crazy. I think you could use "naive" and "cute" to describe all the real life girlfriends I've had....probably why I liked her more than most.

Yeah, very much this.
Was anyone else disappointed that you couldn't get the Saarebas in your party? I sure as hell was.

What about the bat **** crazy and experimenting with blood magic part? lol. I hated her...and hated her more when she turned on me in the Fade for more power.

Doesn't everyone turn on you in the Fade? Because I romanced her and had maximum friendship at that point and she still did. As did Aveline, who I also maxed.

I was...would have liked a Qunari. Though I would have preferred a warrior since Fenris got rivalry points from every ******* thing I did and I didn't really want to use ginger *****....

...you could say they were all bat **** crazy too, lol. But hell, most people I know would probably tell you that I'm bat **** crazy. They're just on my level, lol

Yeah, everyone does except Anders since he's already possessed.....even Varric who is telling the ******* story. How can he die in the fade? BS!
I eventually did that part with just myself and Anders.

Varric didnt turn on me. I never really got an option for him to do so. But Isabela did for a ship. But I got this insanely creepy vibe from that elf. She was pretty corrupt, despite saying some cute things.
Sucks that her last quest was bugged, however. I wanted to see what she would say after that final Dalish camp confrontation.

Mine bugged too and it triggered early. Really nothing special.
Pretty much more of this;

I had a bug where my game kept repeating the final scene of the boss battle in the Gallows. Annoyed the hell out of me.

lol. Yup. I remember that one well. Those quests were stupid to begin with, and their responses never fit right.
At least when you found random stuff for your companions it triggered a scene or a new companion quest. I think a lot of people missed out on these. I was surprised to get all the way to level 23.

Merrill turned on me pretty easily. It was hilarious. She died in like .0000000001 seconds (my playthrough was as a mage and you just put out serious aoe dps - she was in the way).

These people played a key role in the making of Dragon Age 2.

I'm pretty sure the term "gigglesquee" is one of the signs of the apocalypse.

Oh as for what I'm playing now...going back to Mass Effect 2. I just bought 4000 points and I'm downloading all the DLC now. Gearing up for the new release already...I need a loyal to Ashley play through. And I'd like a Liara one and Jack one as well. I messed up the Jack play through last time. Didnt actually romance her, just had sex with her for kicks. woops. My first play through I decided to go with Miranda as a love interest and everyone lived in my party. I really want my first carry over to ME3 being a loyal to Ashley play through, however.

Yeah, Arrival drops March 29th. Excited about that one for sure. I really wish I had some extra cash to drop on Microsoft points right now. Some really good stuff out right now. Beyond Good and Evil is only 800 MSP and I have a few...might have to put like five bucks on a card.

There's a new article about ESV out. (I know it's PC Gamer, but I'm pretty sure this info applies to consoles as well). Some pretty cool info.

I'm really excited about the setting. I always played a Nord in Morrowind and Oblivion, so Skyrim as the backdrop is really cool.

I have it for Gamecube, but it looks like **** on my HDTV, obviously. So I may opt to get the upgrade. I downloaded the demo, plan on trying it out soon. I downloaded a bunch of demos recently.

I missed Beyond Good and Evil the first time around because I was 12 and it had a female protagonist. Probably a big mistake.

To be honest, I missed out on it also. I bought a Gamecube like two years ago and purchased the game. I couldnt stand to play it, because it just looked like such a mess on my tv. Hooray for HD upgrades. So yeah, I've never even really played through it.
I'm still not that big on female protagonists. Unless we're talking like the parts in...Indigo Prophecy or Heavy Rain. Nothing against the ladies...if I'm playing a straight action/adventure game, I kind of want to be a dude.
edit...speaking of looking messy because of the TV resolution...Shenmue is pretty ugly on there. But that wont stop me from playing still. Every few years I love to boot up the ole Dreamcast, listen to that hum, and play some Shenmue. And then of course follow that up with Shenmue 2 for the Xbox. I really have had the Shenmue itch recently. I really enjoy playing around Christmas, though. I absolutely love when it starts snowing and Japanese Santa shows up in Shenmue. lol. I love how that game is paced/structured...so ahead of its time.
