Speaking of that 2K sim...I really find myself itching to do another one, even though the work load was insane. I'll have to see what my schedule looks like after I move to Florida next week. It's possible that I could start one up again...but it's no guarantee. It was a **** ton of work...but maybe with some help, and more time in between things, I could get one working. I could also potentially recruit some people to help in certain ways. I know WMD wanted to help out last year.

Yeah, it sucks that you even have to do it. But it's kind of broken, otherwise. Especially for someone like me, who likes to turn role or bench players into starters, and progress with them over years.

Remember the one I did last year, Caddy? I think you were Houston.

It took a long time. lol.
I think I ran this thing for like two solid months. What really killed me was updating the actual player stats. The prospect scouting reports were time consuming as well, but I had a lot of fun with those, though. Looking at ratings and playing style, and coming up with apt player comparisons. haha.

Hmm. I'm on a six week break from university so I have a bit of spare time. I'll take a look at the old threads and see if it's something I'd be keen on doing.

The disks have been freezing Ps3's as well as 360's, the story was ran about a week after it's release. I was having no issues until the third disk, which froze my xbox, prevented me from going into the menu screen, and directly after my xbox was unable to read any disk I put in.

I've been having a lot of fun with my 2K11 season. I was sucking until I decided to bench Darrell Arthur's useless ass and start Bill Walker. haha. He's a damned beast in this game. So is Afflalo, who I'm averaing 22 per game with. I'm really enjoying my team...I shoot a lot of threes, and I shoot a good percentage from the field. Afflalo and Clark supply me with good defense. And Curry cant be stopped when you figure out his awkward shot. I'm only 6-4, but 4-1 since starting Bill Walker.

Probably the same person who decided that it's OK to make people pay to use their own internet connection and then litter the service with advertisements.
It's really kind of absurd. I love Xbox Live as a service, but if I'm paying $60 dollars a year for a smoother experience, essentially, that shouldn't include such a heavy focus on advertisements.

until people prove they're willing to quit paying it, the advertisements will become more pervasive. luckily for microsoft, the same people who pitch $60 for every single COD/GOW clone aren't likely to even murmur in protest.

I actually like some of the ads. It's cool to get little bits about new games coming out and various sales and things on the Marketplace...but this vision and level of advertising is not something I'm willing to pay money for.
All of this probably wouldn't be all that big of a deal if Microsoft was actually delivering and competing in the games departments lately either...but that's not happening. We're just getting innovative social advertising(shutter) and Kinect related crap.

You're typically promised by companies that in exchange for more advertisements, the cost for the customer goes down due to the additional advertising revenue.
But because you can wave your hand and vote for the best Green Lantern, that probably won't happen in this case.

That's another thing; this is coming off of them raising the annual price for Xbox Live.

i'm with TH. want to show me some ads so i can watch shows on hulu for free? that's cool. if they're not absurdly obnoxious, i might even consider not using adblock, or re-allowing them in hosts.txt. want to advertise **** to me on a service i'm already financing? no chance.

Maybe they'll decrease the price, or at least discount some other services/add-ons. PlayStation's paid subscription service allows members to get discounted downloadable games and such - sometimes free altogether.
But like Njx said, if customers will pay regardless of being rewarded for being subjected to advertisements, then why put money on the table that you can keep?
