With Xbox One you can game offline for up to 24 hours on your primary console, or one hour if you are logged on to a separate console accessing your library. Offline gaming is not possible after these prescribed times until you re-establish a connection, but you can still watch live TV and enjoy Blu-ray and DVD movies.
Other notable clarifications -
Trade-in and resell your disc-based games: Today, some gamers choose to sell their old disc-based games back for cash and credit. We designed Xbox One so game publishers can enable you to trade in your games at participating retailers. Microsoft does not charge a platform fee to retailers, publishers, or consumers for enabling transfer of these games.
Give your games to friends: Xbox One is designed so game publishers can enable you to give your disc-based games to your friends. There are no fees charged as part of these transfers. There are two requirements: you can only give them to people who have been on your friends list for at least 30 days and each game can only be given once.
I'm definitely 100% not getting a Xbox One. I'm waiting on the next-gen as it is, but all this stuff coming out is annoying. Nothing but money grubbing, privacy invading garbage. Not only that but i'm already getting screwed as it is with my regular Xbox. The Xbox with built in wifi will automatically connect to the internet regardless of whether you want it to or not. I don't know how to disconnect from the EA servers while playing FIFA (there is a game breaking lag sometimes) and if i unplug my ethernet cable my wifi automatically gets connected. There is no way to disconnect from XBL from the dashboard or Xbox menu. I spent about two hours trying to do it last night and i couldn't.
That would be largely incorrect. Madden has been the worst, by far, of any gaming franchise of the past two decades. They stopped caring about making improvements to their game some 8 years ago.
And weren't you a pretty big COD fan up until about a year ago?
Madden recycles features.
Xbox/PS1: HEY GUYS CHECK OUT ALL THESE FEATURES
360/PS3: Due to the technical jump we had to remove a ton of features. Then the next year we'll bring ONE feature back from previous generations until the Xbox One/PS4 comes out. Oh and we'll slightly improve the engine from year to year. Last year was PHYSICS!!!! this year is... BETTER PHYSICS!!!!!!!!
COD franchise is the same way though :/
I'll make the decision on One vs PS4 vs Both once they both are released. Opening day prices for both are going to be absurd.
Pretty sure every year is the best Madden they've ever made, and every year it's the same dogshit game on the same dogshit engines. There's actually been gameplay improvements in the COD games every year as they learn from the faults of the previous one.
