Wondering if any of you could help me. I keep getting 3 red lights on my 360, but the one that's not lit up is the upper-right one, which supposedly just means it's over-heated. I unplugged it for 2 days and plugged it back in just now and I still get the red lights. Anyone know what I should do?

Yeah I kinda ****** up cuz I started my game with the difficulty set to Veteran and it was too late to change it and still get the Hardcore achievement. I didn't want to re-start from the beginning so I'm stuck owning everyone with the best weapons, upgrades and skills. It takes like 5 shots with the pistol to kill a random Geth.

I saw some guy online today with 588,000+ achievment points. My jaw pretty much dropped, how the hell does one find time to do that?

Each 360 game has a cap of 1000-1250 AP. So accordingly to the math he has played at least 470 titles and unlocked every achievement in each one. Christ.

Edit: That or he found some way to hack it.

Did you look to see when he unlocked them? I've heard stories about people hacking their 360's so that all of the achievements are immediately unlocked no matter what they are. Hence, there is no date given when they are unlocked, it just says they are unlocked.

Nah, I didnt check it out but, I did look his name up and it brought me to some xbox 360 achievment ***** sight. They all have 100,000+ it seems. I dont even bother with achievments unless I really, really like the game and need to find a reason to play longer. I just play a lot of games and figured my 17,000 was a lot. haha. I'm actually glad it's not that much in comparison.

Yeah, I've read an article about Microsoft erasing someones Gamerscore and putting Cheater in their profile because of something like that.

I barely have like 1000 achievement points because I spend most of my playing time on the 360 Online.

NCAA Football 09
Madden 09

Halo is the only game i can think of with online.

People cheat to get achievements online, it cheapens the achievements.

I tend to achievement fish if I am bored and if I only have certain games. They usually present a new challenge.

Halo 3
Burnout Paradise
Guitar Hero 3, WT, Aerosmith
Rock Band 1 & 2 (I think)
NFL Head Coach
probably a bunch of others that I cant think of right now.

Achievments are useless anyway. I mean seriously, what are those guys who have 100,000+ going to do when, I dont know, the next version of the xbox comes out? All those achievements you worked so hard for possibly wiped clean, never to be seen again. haha. All those wasted hours. It's so damn pointless. People and their addictive personalities. geez.

I've been looking through some of my games' acheivements and I would never, ever try to finish any of them. Such as...

Complete a 60 year dynasty
Complete a 30 year legacy
Beat Dead Space only using the plasma cutter
Beat the game only using one bullet
Kill every zombie in the game
Kill 200 pigeons

etc, etc, etc...I cant believe some people actually even try to do these and succeed. Pointless. There are certainly better things to do out there...and what do these "achievements" actually do for you in the end?

Im selective with my achievement hunting. I only go for impossible achievements if its fun and worth it. Difficult achievements that take boring, repetitive effort are not worth it, even for 1K.

Gears 2 has a lot of online achievements. All the map packs come with more online achievements as well. I usually ignore achievements on my first play through of a game unless they're easy.
