He offers some long-term upside but I don't expect him to do much of anything this season. Kind of wanted Quan Cosby if we went WR, which I expected we would. These last two picks are complete crapshoots.

At least Dom Edison is the type of WR to take a late round flyer on.
I have higher hopes for McCourty though.

It wouldn't be a bad idea. He's raw, so stick him on the practice squad a develop the talent. Rather Pedescleaux than say Jean-Francois.
Michael Bennett is still available. As well as Pannel Egboh. Clinton McDonald. Chris Baker. Rulon Davis. All would be good in the late-7th.
Some solid LB's too, but I'm not forgetting Stanford Keglar from last year's draft who was a 4th RD pick.

I know we signed Patrick Ramsey recently, but what are the chances we take a QB like Hunter Cantwell with one of these last two picks?

Why did we just take a safety? Maybe he'll move to CB? Not pleased with the last two picks from what I initially see.

I'm scratching my head over this Schommer pick. Seems like a waste.

Schommer is obviously Donnie Nickey's heir apparent.
Obviously, he'll have to be developed. We can't just throw him out and replace Donnie friggin' Nickey. Have him sit for a while, get used to the game, and then when he's prepared, unleash him upon the NFL.

Both are guys I love (obviously).
McCourty's a freakish athlete. Not the greatest of tacklers, but smart, fast, and just crazy athletic. His ball skills could use some work(insert terrible, yet obviously deserved sex joke here) and his coverage skills aren't "elite", but still, a guy who I can really see thriving. He'll do wonders with a NFL D that can create pressure. I see him having a BRIGHT future as a nickle CB in the league. His size does sadly hurt him :( just a bit too short and stuff.
Britt...oh Britt </3. My #2 WR behind Crabtree. seriously. He's got a freakish combo of size and speed, which can't be coached. His attitude has been WAYYYYYYYYYYYYYYy overblown. Look at that pic, he's just a fun loving kid who is good and knows it, but not even close to TO levels. I mean, how do these fancy shmancy analysts compare him to TO etc. I mean, Mike Teel was HORRID this year, yet Britt never complained. I mean, that should speak VOLUMES. yea, his hands aren't top notch, whoop-de-doo. They're good, but not spectacular. His only trouble is getting separation, which still isn't that big a weakness of his. With some techniques taught in the pros, he'll be beyond studly. He doesn't have big after the catch ability...ok, no, not really. He had a 90 yard catch this year on a 5 yard slant...
Oh, and he's hands down the best blocking WR in the draft. One of the top I've seen in ALL of football. He ******* craves contact and LOVES to block. The last time I saw him pissed was when he made 4 consecutive catches and was pulled on a running play to catch his breath. He WANTED to stay in and block! I love him and am in tears typing this knowing we passed on him. You guys will LOVE him

1st Round: Kenny Britt, WR, Rutgers
A
(It's about time. We finally draft a bonafide #1 WR prospect to take some pressure off the rest of the offense. Britt was my second favorite WR in this draft after Crabtree.)
2nd Round: Sen'Derrick Marks, DT, Auburn
B-
(At first I didn't like this pick. I felt like we could hold the fort at DT for a year until next year's incredible DT class. But then I started to think about it and started to like this pick more. Marks is a penetrating tackle that fits our scheme almost perfectly. Plus he'll have a year to develop into a starter and we won't have to be forced to re-sign Tony Brown next year if we don't want to.)
3rd Round: Jared Cook, TE, South Carolina
B
(I love this pick. This gives us a chance to cut Alge Crumpler and to have a big target over the middle and in the redzone. It also gives us some flexibility with what we do with Bo Scaife. The only reason I don't give this pick an A is because we had to give up a hefty price in next year's second rounder to get him.)
3rd Round: Ryan Mouton, CB, Hawaii
C
(I'm pretty "meh" on this pick. He fits multiple needs as a depth corner and special teamer, but I'm not sure he offers much potential as a starter. Plus we passed on D.J. Moore to get him and everyone knows how badly I wanted him.)
4th Round: Gerald McRath, OLB/MLB, Southern Miss
B+
(Another pick I really liked. McRath is a good prospect that is underrated in Scott's eyes IMO. I think he is going to be Bulluck's eventual replacement on the weakside and he should be pretty good at it. This grade would be lowered a little bit though if we keep him strictly at MLB since I don't believe that's his best fit and because there were better two down thumpers available at that point.)
4th Round: Troy Kropog, OT, Tulane
B-
(Didn't really like this pick at first, but we do need O-line depth and Kropog was great value at this point. Who knows, maybe he can develop into a starting guard at some point or at least push Amano a little bit.)
5th Round: Javon Ringer, RB, Michigan St.
C+
(Another pick I really didn't like at first. But I think it's a decent pick considering it means the end of the painful Chris "Wasted second rounder" Henry. It also could mean the Titans don't plan on re-signing Lendale White after this season. I guess we'll find out soon.)
6th Round: Jason McCourty, CB, Rutgers
B
(Don't know much about the guy, but we do need corner depth, and he seems like he has some starter potential down the road. Nice measurables as well.)
6th Round: Dominique Edison, WR, Stephen F. Austin
C
(Seems like a long-term developmental guy. Sounds like he has good upside. Probably a practice squad guy this year.)
7th Round: Ryan Durand, OG, Syracuse
C
(Don't know anything about this guy. Nice size. We're gonna need a backup guard when LeRoy Harris takes over when Mawae retires. Maybe this guy can develop into the main OG backup soon.)
7th Round: Nicholas Schommer
D
(Not thrilled about this pick. I don't feel like we needed to waste a pick on a safety. Nickey's been around a while and and Fuller's a decent backup FS and sub-package corner. Plus I don't know anything about this guy and there were better players on the board IMO. Seems like a wasted pick IMO.)

Fisher and MR saw Jared Cook as a 2nd RD value. Even thought about taking him in the 2nd RD over Sen'Derrick Marks. That's why they traded a 2010 2nd RD pick to get him.
Ryan Mouton was graded as a 3rd RD'er by them. Marcus Robertson personally worked him out and thought highly of him.
Troy Kropog was hand-picked by Mike Munchak. As was Ryan Durand.
Jeff Fisher, Mike Reinfeldt press conference recapping the Draft Class. There are other good videos on there too that are more player specific.

Kenny Britt is the one guy I really wanted. I wanted to cry when ESPN kept showing Beanie Wells on the screen and they were acting like that would have been a good pick.
Sen'derrick Marks was also a good pickup. I know this probably doesn't really matter but he did actually start at DE his Soph. year at Auburn, opposite Quentin Groves. I see him as a perfect fit.
Also saw that we signed Mitch King....Pass rush DT?
