Yes, Dede Dorsey is out for the year and since we didn't keep Rudi we are now down to 2 backs. As far as image and such goes, I think that fans across the league already think pretty low of us; so does it really matter if we pick up a guy who has some character issues?

i saw this earlier and for some reason im compelled to say i think its a good move and i think he might be alright.
Now im prob wrong but i always liked the way he ran in college even if he was a puss in the NFL and he has character issues.

Acquitted of all charges. In fact, his charges didn't even reach a judge.

I don't care about the off field stuff as much as the fact that he's a horrible RB.
I hate this front office, I didn't necessarily think Rudi was his old self but at absolute worst he was good depth which we are severely lacking.

Is there such a thing as a cliche football signing? This is pretty close.

I always thought a change of surroundings might make him a better RB.
Cincy is not one of those surroundings.

I would have thought the Bengals would actually want a RB with some speed

Cedric might have some speed. Maybe not the kind you're thinking of, though.
Either way, he was a good player in college, his case(s) got thrown out, he's a former #4 overall pick. Might as well give him a chance. I don't think he has character concerns.

Its an awefull signing in my mind, even whilst he may be bashed for his character issues beyond what he had coming he still hasnt shown himself to be someone that brings something to the lockerroom, something that they need badly in there.

Seriously, if it not for Matt Millen and Al Davis the Bengals would be the most ridiculous team in the league.
One down . . . one to go.

It didn't help that the bears O-Line hated him.
But then again, he's not the most likable guy in the world anyway.

Well at least the Bengals will have the most off the wall team in the NFL.
Cedric Benson, Chris Henry, Chad Johnson. What a collection of personalities they are getting over there.

Talk about perfect fits...
I'm actually surprised that they didn't bring in Travis Henry yet.

After he's served his time or while he's on the run?
