2008 Lions vs. 2007 Dolphins
Who is worse? I would like to compare the starters from both teams but I'm not quite sure who the Dolphins started for most of the season last year. I think the Lions have a good chance of going 0-16 or 1-15 this season, so I'm curious as to who the masses feel is the worse team.
Compare the players.. Cleo Lemon vs. Dan Orlovsky, etc etc.
Who ya got?

If we are talking about the Dolphins with Ronnie Brown they win in a landslide. If we are talking about the Dolphins after Brown went down it is much close but I still think I would take the Dolphins.

Calvin Johnson, Roy Williams, Ernie Sims. The Dolphins didn't have anyone near that good last year with Brown being hurt.

Detroit Lions 10-12 Minnesota Vikings?
And despite giving up a 21 point lead to Green Bay they came back to lead before throwing it away

The lions don't have Cleo Lemon so they are better.

Scorewise, they actually had many close games. They lost six games by 3 points and had a few other close games. I'm not sure how close their games were in reality though.
As for the question, its really close but I think I would go with Miami as far as who is worse. Its almost a draw in my mind.

Yeah way too tough of a question lol. A healthy Dolphins team I think would beat this years Lions team.

Well, they had Jason Taylor and Zach Thomas who are better than anyone on the Lions.

yeah, the dolphins actually had a defense and with the exception of that last minnesota game the lions have been absolutely blown out in every game this year. plus the lions finally started playing and now roy is traded. we have to be ahead early now to get a win, we'll see how hard they play the rest of the year.

Let's see: Lions have/had Roy Williams, Calvin Johnson, Shaun Rogers, Ernie Sims and that's about it.
Dolphins have/had: Jason Taylor, Zach Thomas, Ted Ginn Jr, Vernon Carey, Samson Satele, Channing Crowder, and Joey Porter.

Tedd Ginn is mention worthy now?

Taking out Ronnie Brown and Roy Williams, I'd still take the Lions.

Zach Thomas missed a lot of time with a concussion and Taylor should not have made the pro bowl last year, his play has severely dropped.

Look at it this way, did the Dolphins have to put their not really injured starting QB on IR to then give a shot to a player who actually ran out the back of his endzone in a game they lost by 2 points.
I think a better comparison would be the 2008 Lions and the 1962 NY Mets.

So you all think the 2008 Lions could reach "Worst of All Time" status?

Odd little parallel between the Dolphins sending Chris Chambers out of town, and the Lions dealing Roy Williams.
I've gotta take the Dolphins in this scenario, because they were powered purely by former Charger practice squad members; Jesse Chatman, Cleo Lemon, Greg Camarillo, Justin Peele...

Are we trying to say because they havent won that the Lions are the worst team in the league? I think a few others would dispute that.
