Default Flacco is GOD

That is all. The kid has it, I'm sold. I've supported him from day one and he's done nothing but confirm my thoughts. For a rookie quarterback to be doing what he's doing with an offense like ours is outstanding. The way he's progressing each and every week, right before our eyes, is just sick. Major, major props to Ozzie, Eric DeCosta, Harbaugh, Cam Cameron, and everyone involved in making a gutsy decision to go out and get their guy. That's why their some of the best in the business, regardless of what some people on here think.

The one thing is that Joe gives us an arm to make playcalls that we weren't able in the past. Trust me Trent Dilfer, or Steve McNair could never make that 18 yard out route.

yes I am amazingly impressed. Remember were he was last year, a 1AA school in a shot gun offense. The sky is the limit for him. I really do believe this guy can be a pro bowler. I thought it was a reach and when I heard he was starting I figured it was Boller all over again, we would be on track for the #1 pick, and he would play like Tavaris Jackson. He proved me wrong thankfully.

You can go back but I had Flacco as my #1 QB because he had the tools and arm strength Ryan doesn't. I can say now though that I did look too much into physical tools and underrated the intangibles Ryan has that only a handful of even veteran QB's have. In any case Ryan appears to be a franchise QB for the next 12 years, and Flacco is well on his way. Just to clarify like rating Flacco over Ryan I did the same with Cutler and his tools over Leinart and his poise. At the same token I'm not trying to say I'm always right or anything like that because I did have Vince Young as my #1 QB over both Cutler and Leinart, as well as Leftwhich over Carson Palmer. For a while with guys like Patrick Ramsey, Rex Grossman, Kyle Boller it looked like teams were making huge mistakes by trading up into the late first round area to nab QB's they liked who were graded more like second round prospects. But with the recent guys in which teams moved up into the late portion like Aaron Rogers, Jason Campbell, Joe Flacco, and maybe Brady Quinn it proves my theory that if you have a QB you think can be a franchise guy and even if he is a 2nd or 3rd round graded prospect, you jump into the first to take him if you truly believe in him. I think it's well worth the risk for a position so important. Just like if the Bills really wanted Trent Edwards people would be slaying them if they took him in the first, but obviously now that wouldn't have been a questionable move at all.

I still like Troy Smith, it would be incredible if you guys kept both on board and continued with a package that put both on the field.

But I agree, Flacco has been incredible for you guys so far as a rookie. Hopefully Quinn works out for the browns and the entire AFC North has their franchise QB for the next 6+ years!

Troy Smith would be a nice backup to have for the future, like a better Seneca Wallace, but I honestly can't see him being a full time starter for any team. I think he'll stick around as Joe's backup until he gets a better offer, but I can see us like what the Seahawks did with Seneca and that's moving him around at wideout or RB while still maintaining claim to #1 backup.

I really do think Smith can be a starter in the NFL, just not in Baltimore.

LOL, where is ERU, BigDawg and all those others that hated Flacco from the get-go? Anways, I think we owe it all to Cam Cameron and what he has done w/ Flacco. I think he was the greatest thing that happened durning last offseaon. Also very impressed with Flacco himself, already managing the no-huddle flawlessly. Like Ravens said " the skys the limit for this kid"

I agree, Cameron is a true offensive genius. He is a very good OC. Get this guy some WR options and give him some time and I do believe he can be a pro bowler.

I agree. I don't doubt that they can come up with some sort of package or play, seeing as how the wildcat is in nowadays.

They teased us with a little glimpse of the Wild Cat during the Browns game but they didn't pull the trigger. I know after showing it then the timeout it would have been the wrong time to do it but I was kind of hoping it would emerge later in the game.

True dat! This guy is very good. I thought he would be getting completely rocked in the NFL after only playing at Delaware, but this kid is getting every week. Get him some weapons and he will be good.

lol, I got into a debate w/ my coach today and we have a bet that Flacco will be a pro bowler in 4 years. I personally think he can if we decide to build around him. Anyone else think we have a franchise QB and a future pro bowler. He has the tools and composure to be great, plus he is improving every game. Obviously he could hit a wall and be horrible but I think he will be very good.

He needs more talent around him. He can tear up Cleveland by himself, but how does he do against real defenses?

he did good IMO against PIT, a MNF game which was his first away game as well. But did bad against TEN. Mason is the only above average WR and he can only run a curl route it seems. But as we are opening it up w/ Flacco gaining expierence I expect his stats to increase, but we do need to get him talent.

I believe both Ryan and Flacco are 2 franchise QBs.

Watching Matt Ryan proving why he's a better QB. ;)

Flacco is progressing well as long as he doesn't turn the ball over. When he does we're screwed.

Major props to Coach Cameron and the job he has done. He wasn't given a fair shot in Miami is making the Ravens Offense looking the best it has since Steve McNair's playoff year with yall. I still think Pittsburgh wins the division because of the edge in experience, but the Ravens should be a wildcard. Harbaugh and Co. have done a great job changing the culture of this team and that is why the Ravens are where they are at today.

You can't mess with Shane Falco, hes been tearing it up as of recent but the real test comes against the defending superbowl champions...The Browns beat The Giants...We beat The Browns twice...So that means we can beat The Giants...right? Oh please someone tell me i'm right...

Meh, I think the Giants underestimated the Browns, plus DA was on fire the day they played New York, I still like our chances against New York though...

Flacco is progressing well as long as he doesn't turn the ball over. When he does we're screwed.
you mean if he turns the ball over? we lose? I doubt 1 turnover can hurt us badly seeing as how our defense is playing pretty damn good without some key starters.

He's gonna turn the ball over a lot more over the course of the next 7 weeks. I would be HIGHLY surprised and amazed if he can keep it together against those stout NFC East defenses. IF he can, I think the rest of our schedule should be a cakewalk, seeing as we face the Bengals, Jags, a Steelers team that will prolly rest all of its starters by then.

Overall though, he is showing a TON of growth, but let's remember that Kyle Boller also had a winning record as a starter up to this point, and even though this offense is more imaginative than ever, they are doing a lot of spread/college offense stuff to hide his deficiencies. Who knows if it'll hold up in New York next Sunday.

That being said, I have full confidence in Flacco as long as he can continue his steady growth.
