Which I knew they would. You don't fire a coach because he sucks and then give the job to his assistant.

He's a great recruiter. That's what MD needs.

Strong is the guy at louisville. Jurich stated at a press conference that he is the guy that louisville is looking at the most right now.

It was reported that ND gave Stoops an offer and he accepted but backed out of it. So technically he's still a Sooner but I'll still think he'll be an irish

Stoops also accepted the Florida job after Spurrier left, was pretty much a done deal but then backed out at last possible second.

So Chris Redman stated on an Atlanta Radio station that Strong's Kids are already enrolled in school at Louisville. Interesting to say the least. I have not found anything official yet, but i did find this, it is not the most reliable source but it should do.

Any particular reason why Mangino isn't fired yet if that's what they plan on doing?

Still not a guarantee. He could pull their names off the list.

I was sorry to see Al Groh go too, he was a Parcells protege -- he couldn't out-recruit Va. Tech for the in-state talent.
I heard today that Richmond Spider HC Mike London is the leading candidate to replace Groh. London won Richmond's 1st D. I-AA title last yr, I remember them beating perennial D. 1-AA contender Montana. Wasnt London a former UVA asst ?

Where did these reports from from? I don't know if I buy that. He has had a shot to take this job for awhile now, not sure what he's so undecided about if he really wants it.

I hope Groh gets another NFL job. Not as a HC but as an assistant. I'd love him to be the OC for the Steelers. He can't do any worse than Arians.
