Hard to believe he's the genius when Arizona fell apart after Mark left.

If Stoops goes to OSU you have to wonder if he might be offered unofficially the "coach in waiting" title. I think the over/under for Meyer is going to be 5 years. He has proven to be a coaching nomad.

ehhh, Brady Hoke is no slouch either. Just wait til he gets his own recruits in there too.
OSU vs. Michigan battles will be epic.
And yes, Meyer will be in a BCS championship in no time, his road there is much easier than it was in the SEC and now the Pac-12.

I was thinking the same thing. Hoke is a great coach, that team has already taken HUGE strides.

Rumors going around that Mack Brown is going to retire after the game on Saturday. There is a split as to whether or not these are legitimate rumors.

Holy ****, if the Texas job opens up along with the PSU, OSU, UCLA jobs...that would make for one helluva off-season.
People keep mentioning Gary Patterson...This right here would be the job with his name on it. If Mack Brown leaves..Im sayin it first that Patterson will be the next UT coach.

Yeah, I think Patterson wants to stay with TCU, especially with them moving to the Big 12. But I think he would have to seriously consider taking the Texas job.

He might not wanna leave, but UT is just not a job that you turn down.

Hoke isn't that good. His career record is barely over .500 (57-52). Now what Hoke did do right at UM is to hire good coordinators that can recruit. They aren't going to be bad, but I doubt if they turn out to be more than a 9-3 team year in and year out with him.
One good year at Ball State. One good year at San Diego State. One good year at UM.

Stoops' defenses at OU were awesome. Their rankings fell off of a cliff after he left.
He is just too psychotic to be a HC.

yeah. though if meyer leaves ohio state it will be for retirement or to go to the NFL. I think OSU is the top of the college coaching pyramid for Meyer, every other job is a step down for him.

Stoops is checked into the hotel on campus. From all indications he'll be the DC.

Notre Dame but Brian Kelly will be fired in year or two so it would tough for Meyer to leave Ohio state after a year or two. ND will have have a new coach in his 1st year or 2nd year by the time Meyer retires again.

Or to go to Notre Dame,...his dream job.

Notre Dame would be so stupid to let Kelly go. The fans/trustees are so delusional, I really do not think they will ever be a national championship contender unless they join a conference. The luster of Notre Dame has not been the same since the early 90s.
I don't disagree with you though and would not be surprised if ND would be stupid enough to ax Kelly.

Don't tell that ND fans, alumni or the media but I agree. No kid my age cares about Notre Dame. They won't got there just because its "Notre Dame" anymore.

Well they may suck as much as OSU might on the field right now but Meyer has stated ND is his dream job.(OSU may be a tad better) I'll laugh at anyone who trys to tell me Urban Liar wouldn't take off on OSU in 3-4 years. Not saying that he will, but you can't put a guarantee on Meyer being loyal to any program.

Urban Meyer had a chance to go to Notre Dame and he turned it down when he went to Florida. I'm not sure why people continue to say its his dream job.

Can't find the quote(s) right now at work but he's stated it more than once that ND is his dream job.
As an SC fan, I hope he never fulfills that dream.

Trust what someone does, not what they say. Urban was offered the Notre Dame job and he turned it down to go to Florida. That's really all you need to know.

Yep. What cachet does ND have amongst the under 20 crowd? None. They have sucked for as long as those kids have been aware of college football.
So many nationally followed schools where ND used to be one of the few.
Plus their alumni are needlessly uppity. Napoleon complexes are way over the norm with their alumni. It's a good school but not elite. And the football team is not very good.
