0-16
Is this the year it happens? With three games remaining, the Detroit Lions currently sit at 0-13. Their remaining opponents are:
@Indianapolis
vs New Orleans
@Green Bay.
Personally, I think it's about as close to a lock as you can get. Indy ain't losing to them at home when they're still fighting for a playoff spot. They're not gonna go beat Green Bay at Lambeau at the end of the season, either. So they're either going to steal one at home against NO (who is also fighting for their playoff lives), or the Lions will go down as the most inept team in the history of the National Football League.

It's the ultimate shame, no team has ever gone 0-16. Going to be so tough to live that down.
In a way, the most fitting historical mark to attribute to Matt Millen, the President/GM. But to see it in this day and age, it's something else. You would rather spare the Lions franchise of it.
But you also think of the teams that have come so close. Like Miami last year, for the most recent example.

For some reason i think they can avoid embarrassment against the Packers. At that point, Green Bay might be done with, and of course Detroit is gonna bust their asses to win at least one game this season.
With the quarterback carousel of Dan Orlovsky, Daunte Culpepper and Jon Kitna, it's no surprise that they sit here without a win with less than a month left on the season. This team needs so big an overhaul it's ridiculous.

We'll beat the Bears on Thursday and then lose to the Lions ending our playoff hopes.
Such is the faith of the New Orleans Saints.

The 1976-1977 and 1977-1978 Tampa Bay Buccaneers beg to differ as they went 0-14 both years.

I wish this wasn't brought up this week. If they go to 0-14, talk about it all you want.

I really hope they beat the Pack in the last game of the season. That would be epic fail by the Packers.

And now we begin with all the Packer haters picking the Lions to beat Green Bay.
Not going to happen. The Lions are going winless. Everyone of those teams will destroy Detroit's secondary.

oh, there's no way the Lions beat the Pack imo.
I just really, really hope it does happen so I can have something to be excited about when the Bears are out of the playoffs.

All that means was Baltimore was terrible that week, which they were, likely because they'd just gotten screwed out of beating the Patriots two weeks prior then got thumped the next week by the Colts. They had to be down on themselves at that point. Plus that was a home game for Miami.

I'm happy because Dallas will have the first pick of the 4th round thanks to the lowly Lions. Woopee!
