Jacob Ford should be considered a rookie since he was put out for the season in last year's training camp. He's got 6 by the way.

mmmm Trevor Scott

Him sacking Favre twice to really help the Raiders beat the Jets is one of my fondest memories of the season.

Very subtle.

Not a very good overall showing from a class of defensive linemen that looked promising back in April. There's been a few bright spots, but I expected more overall production. Oh, and Trevor Scott can play football, which was a pleasant surprise.

Yeah supposed to be some great pass rushers in this class. Not a very big impact yet though.

Yeah, but you wait a lot longer before worrying about a guy like Mario Williams not being the guy you thought he was then you do with the average defensive end prospect.

Not necessarily here, but on some boards the flaming I took for saying Gholston wouldn't have impact as a rookie and I thought he had a high bust chance was amazing.

I know its only his first season, but not seeing the field is never a good sign for such a high pick.

No doubt, Gholston also being basically called out by his head coach during a press conference isn't the best sign either. Gholston could look like the Mike Mamula of the 2008 NFL Draft. All workout and no production. Pity too, he had the physical ability to be a very good player. Could you imagine if the Jets had taken Jerod Mayo to pair up with David Harris???? WOW! to say the least.

Also, Chris Long is exactly what the fans of the Rams expected. They knew going in that he wouldn't be a Mario or Julius type player. They brought him in to be a leader by being a player that it always hungry and always intense. He, well at least to me, was projected as a 8 sacks a year player averaging around 70-80 tackles. He will never be an elite DE, he just won't. If you have watched any Rams games you would have seen that he is unbealivably small for a DE and he doesn't have that explosive first step like the Freeney's, Cole's or Dumerville's of the world. He is also completely maxed out so getting bigger isn't an option. Long is and will forever be a hustle type player, and he may make a few Pro-Bowls, but being a hustle player that averages 8 sacks a year isn't worth the #2 Overall pick. The Rams should have taken Ryan Clady or Matt Ryan.

Well Matt Clady wasn't even on their list at #2, and they still have so much money invested in Bulger to take a top 3 QB, especially before this season. It's debatable in this draft if they go QB, but at last years draft going QB and the money tied into 2 QB's would not be possible. They got a guy to start at DE for the next 10 years. More talent available sure, but at least they didn't take Gholston.

Whats his story, I was impressed with him this past weekend. Seems like all those young rotational D-linemen on Tennessee have game.

Oh my, Trevor Scott. It certainly was a pleasant surprise because he really hasn't been playing the position for all that long. If he can bulk up a bit to become an every down pass rusher he could be special.

Gholston has like 6 special team tackles I think.

He was inactive against Buffalo even though he isn't injured at all.

That's peculiar considering the Jets unbelievable success with high first round draft picks.

Forums should have sarcasm tags, and what it does is uppercase certain words automatically. In that case, THAT's and UNBELIEVABLE.
