So how come he got booed before he had dropped a single pass in the NFL?

Hell if I know. Cleveland fans are ********.

I can see him getting booed cause he came from Michigan, but after the year he put up for them last year, no one really cares about college.

If they all hated him cause of Michigan that stadium wouldn't be filled with 17 jerseys all the time.

Berrian. Marcus Robinson. We've never really had a QB. Hester could do it he's playing really well.

I go to OSU, and all the Browns fans that I know there LOVED Braylon before the season started. Most of them claimed him as a top 5 reciever. He starts drpping passes and the team starts losing and all of the sudden he needs cut or traded.

I'm a Steelers fan, I don't hate Woodley or Foote because they went to Michigan. I don't like Holmes any more because he went to Ohio State. I don't care what they did in college, if theyre productive as a Steeler Im a fan.

I know alot of Browns fans that are obviously huge Buckeyes fans. They hate Braylon because he is having a horrible year and the team is losing, not because of Michigan. If he comes back next year and has a good year and the team wins some games, he'll have his fans back.
The only thing I disagree with there is that the fans have been completely inappropriate. Braylon has had an off year, but so has the entire team. I completely disagree with taking a complete 180 on a guy who was such a huge part of your team last year, and because he's struggled, he's treated awfully. The whole team has been awful, it's not all Braylon's fault. Not that I really don't mind the team being awful. ;)

Berrian didn't make it. He had 951 last year. Wasn't Robinson back in like '99?

They all think Braylon is the reason why they're having their typical season. I agree with you that they are being inapproproate and its obviously not all Braylons fault, just pointing out that the Browns fans I've met couldn't care less that he went to Michigan.

All fans do the same thing. They love you until you give them a reason not to. You produce, everything is good. You drop passes, fans will boo you. Does he expect them not to? He's getting paid and the fans are paying to watch his team. Taking the actions to a personal level out of the stadium is on a different level though. Pretty classless of those individuals. Also, the whole rivalry in college thing should have been dropped after the draft considering he's on their side now.

There you go. I bet it was Conway in 2001. Robinson had something like 1,400 yards in 1999. I think he set the Bears single season receiving yardage record that year.

EDIT:Yep, Marcus Robinson 1,400 yards in 1999 is the Bears single season record. Too bad he had so many injuries after that.

They boo him cause he drops passes. They don't give a damn that he went to Michigan.

I've never heard a Browns fans say I hate Edwards cause he went to Michigan. And the Browns fans I know, are all Buckeyes. If they don't care about his college, Idk who would.

Braylon's just being a ***** here. Hes trying to make an excuse for why the fans hate him, when they really hate him because of his lackluster play. Theres really nothing else to it than that.

What does it say about Cleveland Management/Coaching and fans when their only 2 playmakers don't want to be there (Winslow/Edwards)

We resigned Robinson a few months ago so he could retire a Bear.

Come on. We're dealing with Buckeye fans here. It still has some connection.

So why again did they hate him before he played a down for the Browns? Must have been his lackluster 97 catch, 1,330 yard, 15 TD performance...

If their college was the issue, the Steeler fans would hate Santonio Holmes, Ryan Mundy, Larry Foote, LaMarr Woodley ...

We only have 2 guys from "Local Schools" (Pitt/PSU) and they both suck. Well McHugh is a decent FB..

We're talking about Buckeye fans here. Completely different breed.

PSU fans do not have the same hatred for Michigan that OSU fans have for them though.

Let's be honest here. The guy was booed when he was introduced before his first game as a rookie. Now whether you say it was joking or not, that can't feel very good for a guy coming into the league his first year.

Braylon has done alot in the community in Cleveland. Yes he's had a terrible year in terms of drops. I don't question that. He also had an amazing year last year, and despite all the drops, still has a shot at another 1,000 yard season. He's been officially creditted with 16 drops this year. Dwayne Bowe has 13 and Brandon Marshall has 11. Guys like TO and Chad Johnson have also led the league in drops with 15+. He's had a bad year by his standards, but do you or any Browns fans really think you guys would have any more than MAYBE 2 more wins if he even catches half of those? I'm sorry, the Browns are actually my AFC team, but alot of Browns fans really need to grow up and realize that they cheer for the Browns on Sunday, not the Buckeye's.
I'd have to disagree, Edwards has cost the Browns at least 3 early games with his drops in crucial times. They helped send Cleveland on a losing streak and stagnated their offense. As the season wore on, he lost his confidence and became a real liability to the team. I hope he recovers next year because otherwise Cleveland will be in tough with its offense.
I really don't think the average pro fan gives a hoot which college Edwards went to, he's being booed for dropping passes in crucial situations as would any player. It's ludicrous to think he's being booed because he went to Michigan. You either perform in the NFL or you get booed, that's life in pro sports.

being a michigan fan i agree with this, it isnt a coincidence that ohio state happens to be in cleveland therefore all browns fans are also buckeye fans. i can't think of any other reason why fans would be pissed at edwards than him being from michigan, especially with how well he's played and how nice of a bentley he has...

i agree, move your charity work, cleveland doesn't deserve it. his charity provides "educational opportunities for undeserved youth" and quite frankly if fans are booing him then that's probably the youth's fault too
