I thought he was a lock to declare. He is one of the best natural DTs I have seen. I have him in the top 3 in my DT rankings. Why would you want to return to Syracuse? They suck. This is a pretty weak DT class this year and next year he will be competing with the likes of Marvin Austin, Geno Atkins, Terrance Cody, Vince Oghobaase Ndamukong Suh, and Gerald McCoy if he stays. Yeah getting his degree was a major factor. He also said he wanted to leave school as a winner(which I don't see happening). I'm just surprised he declared despite getting a 2nd round grade from scouts. They are notorious for short changing underclassmen on their draft potential and he still got a 2nd round grade.
