Default Coin Toss for the #2 Pick? And other draft scenarios...

If the Rams lose to the Falcons, and Chiefs lose to the Bengals this week, the #2 Pick looks like it will be determined by a coin toss.

Also, if the Bengals win.. and the Seahawks, Raiders, and Browns lose.. there will be a 4 way tie for the #4 Pick. Not sure who wins out based on match ups and everything, though.

And as a Lions fan.. I'm rooting for the Eagles this week with everything I've got. Not sure what pick we'll end up with if they miss the Playoffs, but it's a lot better than the one we'd get if they made it. GO EAGLES!!

Discuss other draft hopes and dreams here!

Everyone gives Baltimore their first round picks.

Or they find a way to get Crabtree.

Isn't a coin toss only used if the two tied teams have the same strength of schedule? If so it's unlikely the Chiefs/Rams will come down to a coin toss.

If the Cowboys miss out on the playoffs, you're looking at somewhere between the 19th - 22nd pick. Question, should the Cardinals make the playoffs and lose in the wildcard game, do they draft before or after a team with a better record that didn't make the playoffs?

After a team with a better record because Arizona actually made the playoffs.

The Cowboys would pick before the Cardinals because they have a better record, regardless of whether they make they playoffs.

Now if they had the same record then whomever made the playoffs picks after the team that did not make the playoffs.

If both teams have the same record and both make the playoffs then it goes by who was elimated from the playoffs first.

I just want the Raiders to win, finish the season with a high note (2 game winning streak) and for Russell's confidence to take a boost.

I think a lot depends on the other games too b/c strenght of schedule changes if there's a bunch of upsets and whatnot. I don't think it's possible for the Bengals and Browns to tie for a pick unless there's a 3-way tie involved (like KC/OAK/ATL last year), b/c if Cleveland loses to Pittsburgh and Cincinnati beats Kansas City, then Cincy is 3rd place in the division and they can't pick before the Browns if that happens and vice versa if Cleveland finishes 3rd and Cincinnati 4th.

The Lions clinched the #1 overall btw.

What about the scenario for 9th and 10th picks..? Anyone know?

Cleveland has the toughest SOS in the NFL this year, so you don't have to worry after we finish 4-12. Seattle should beat Arizona who won't play their starters much if at all, and CIncy at home vs KC is winnable. Oakland looks like they'll pick 4th or 5th.

I'm betting on the Chiefs to beat the Bengals this weak in Cincy and make the whole conversation moot. Probably a good thing too as the Chiefs are in much better shape down the road than the Rams are.

I'm hoping for the opposite. I don't want another top 5 pick because our payroll is high enough as it is. I saw a stat the other day that showed the Raiders 2nd or 3rd on a list of highest payrolls in sports. We shouldn't be paying players that much when we are this bad so getting a pick a few slots down could save us some mula.

The Chiefs and Rams (2-13) are currently tied on strength of schedule (.535) going into Week 17. Cincinnati, who play KC, will obviously finish with a worse record than Atlanta, who play St Louis.

So if both KC and St Louis finish with the same win-loss record then the Bengals poor record will leave KC with a weaker schedule than St Louis and give them the 2nd pick in the draft. A Bengals loss to KC will guarantee them the 4th pick.
