I'd rather the Comeback Player be someone who overcame injury to achieve success once again, than someone who basically just sucked the year before like Porter or Julius Peppers. But Porter managed to come up with a career season, so I guess I'll give it to him.

I don't really see how a guy can be MVP but not the player of the year on his side of the ball. That's basically saying that stats are more important than value to a team. If Peyton Manning or whoever is the most valuable player then he should be the OPOY. I'll take value to the team over pretty stats.
