Doesn't necessarily but those first year coaches took teams that didn't look like they would amount to much this year and put them in the playoffs.
And Dungy had nothing to do with the Colts Wins. It was all Peyton Manning.

Given your opinion of Manning based on this thread alone that is extremely ironic.

I've gone to the other side. I understand that the #11 total defense, #6 Ranked Scoring defense, 5 first round skills positions guys and Tony Dungy are not why the Colts win games.
Peyton Manning is a budding Chuck Norris.

Haha no my bad, I completely whiffed on that when copy pasting the results. Joey Porter actually got 11 votes for CPOY, I'll fix it.

Believe it or not it was actually a Redskins fan who broke the tie between Horton and Mayo, but went with Mayo. That's non homerish honest voting.

yea but we got MVP, the Rookies and CPotY right, CotY was basically a tossup and DPoY we only have to switch #1 and #2 and we basically have the outcome of the DPoY voting (22 Harrison, 16 Ware, 8 Ed Reed, 5 Haynesworth)

I'd rather the Comeback Player be someone who overcame injury to achieve success once again, than someone who basically just sucked the year before like Porter or Julius Peppers. Or say Antonio Bryant who was out of football because he was a stupid drunk who was arrested for it a couple of times, even getting in a car chase with the police.
But Porter managed to come up with a career season, so I guess I'll give it to him.

Got them all right except for Comeback POTY, voters were drinking too much of the Pennington Kool-Aid.

I don't think this was about "getting it right", moreso voting for who you thought was deserving of winning the awards, or at least that's how I cast my ballot. I kind of wish I'd cast my vote for OROY for Matt Forte now, considering the margin Ryan won by, in almost ANY other year, Forte is OROY, but you have to give it to the most deserving candidate, and Ryan was that IMO.

Oh, make no mistake, my picks were who I would personally award for this season. Sorry if I phrased that wrong.
