Matt Ryan wins OROY
http://sports.yahoo.com/nfl/news;_yl...v=ap&type=lgns
Landslide victory. Only Chris Johnson, Ryan Clady, and Matt Forte recieved votes aside from him.

really starting to become a solid qb in this league. *waits for Bears fans to complain about how Forte only got 1 vote.*

Such stiff competition this year. Congrats to him because he definitely earned it.

I can see why Forte didnt win, our opponents have honed in on him the past few weeks. Commentators pointed that out during the Houston game, that they are trying to get Orton to beat them. So with the kinda weaker end of the season, its understandable.

Yea, I didn't expect such a landslide. I thought Ryan would win it because he deserved it most, but with performances of Forte, Johnson, Slaton, and even Clady, I figured it would at least be more competitive. Great rookie seasons, that is for sure.

Matt Ryan is on his way to entering the class with the other elite quarterbacks. I can't wait to see him next year and in 2010.
1. Payton Manning
2. Tom Brady
3. Carson Palmer
4. Ben Rothlisberger
5. Jay Cutler
6. Matt Ryan
7. Philip Rivers
8. Drew Brees
9. Tony Romo
10. Eli Manning
And to add to that we have quite a few solid QB's as well.
*Donovan McNabb
*Kurt Warner
*Chad Pennington
*Joe Flacco
*Matt Schuab (when healthy and focused)
*Kyle Orton
*Trent Edwards
*Jake Delhomme
*Matt Cassel
*Jason Campbell
*Matt Hasselback
*Aaron Rogers
*JaMarcus Russell
Not really a bad group of NFL QB's, now if the horrid teams can get a legit franchise QB this league would be even more competitive and strong.
Detroit, St.Louis, Kansas City, Cleveland, New York Jets, San Fran, Tampa Bay, Tennessee and Minnesota all need to get their act together when talking about the QB position. Definitly they have made it work so far, but can you imagine if these teams that had made the playoffs without a QB actually had one? They be even better.

Ryan Clady, to me is one of the biggest steals of the 2008 NFL Draft. No way on Earth should he have fallen out of the top 10. He should have gone in the top 5, and in all honesty to the Oakland Raiders. I know Darren McFadden was the sexy pick and he was probably the best skilled position prospect on the board, but Ryan Clady would have done wonders for Russell.

Yeah but he didn't play like these other guys. Matt Ryan deserved it but Flacco should have finished second and Ryan Clady deserved more votes. Also Slaton should have replaced Forte.

Yes, that's turned our incredibly well for us. It was pretty much a no-brainer when he was still available at Denver's pick.

Yeah, you have to wonder what they're thinking now that Michael Bush has started to come on. Certainly a nice stable of backs... but it's going to be hard to keep them all.

Packers fans have absolutely no room calling anyone else homers. None.
And I would take Ryan over Forte 100 times out of 100.

its kinda like a heisman vote he didnt deserve a first place vote cuz ryan clearly was the better qb but he'd have gotten a ton of second and third place votes.
