Thank Goodness, this is great news, he needs to just get the ball in his hands however he can, and I'm glad he may get some consideration at Kickoff returns.

Thank god, I wont ever have to see chiles at quarterback again. Sheesh, I dont think Texas will skip a beat when colt leaves. Garrett Gilbert looks like he will fare very well for the horns. This season the defense will only improve. Hopefully Eddie Jones steps up but that doesnt matter too much seeing how Lamaar Houston played. And Sergio Kindle... he's going to beast. I wouldnt worry too much about gideon, he was just a freshman that needs experience of speed at the college level. He will only improve.
Offensively fozzy will serve as the best back as long as he stays healthy.

I'm going to throw this out there:
There aren't many players here to be excited about but I have this feeling that Trent Hunter is going to have a big year.

From what I've been reading, it sounds like Missouri's Defense has improved a lot from last season. Granite, it is only the Spring :)

Well, that's not saying a whole lot. That could mean they went from infuriatingly horrific to frustratingly bad. Seriously though, there seems to be good news coming out of Columbia. The defense looks to be better, probably due to a lot of guys being hungry for jobs. Blaine Gabbert appears to have a firm grasp on the starting QB job, but Pinkel isn't quite willing to pubically hand him the reins. Most assume that is just a motivational decision.

No question that KU is more talented than Nebraska. Looking at the schedules it probably comes down to head to head which I think KU wins.
Nebraska Schedule
Florida Atlantic
Arkansas St.

Louisiana Lafayette
@ Missouri
Texas Tech
Iowa St.
@ Baylor
Chokelahoma
@ Kansas
Kansas St.
@ Colorado
Kansas Schedule
Northern Colorado
@ UTEP

Well for one, they are probably a better team. But that's debatable. More significantly, they have an easier conference schedule this year. That's the problem with conferences like the Big-12 and SEC. The difficulty level of team to team schedules can vary greatly, resulting in misleading final standings. Kansas misses Oklahoma St, Baylor, and Texas AM. Nebraska misses Texas, Oklahoma St, and Texas AM.
So essentially Nebraska already has a 1 game lead on Kansas by virtue of their probable win over Baylor and Kansas' probable loss to Texas.
Additionally, for whatever reason, Kansas is playing 5 of 8 conference games on the road. Nebraska plays 4 at home 4 on the road. Seems real strange that the Big 12 doesn't ensure that all teams get 4 home games each season.
I think the bottom line is that the odds point to Nebraska finishing with a better conference record than Kansas this year, just as they did last year.

ISU voted worst stadium, uniforms, and mascot by random polling of Big XII players.

Man no one is giving Mizzou a chance this year to even compete for the North. I think people could be surprised.
No Doubt Missouri lost a lot from last season.
I like the potential they have though. Mizzou will have a pretty solid Defensive Line with potential to be great at getting to the Quarterback with Aldon Smith, Jacquies Smith and former 5-star DE Brian Coulter. The Linebackers will be the strength of the Defense. Alot of young guys in the Secondary where I can already see a lot of head scratching plays. Carl Gettis and Kevin Rutland return as the two starting Corners (Illini burnt them last season) and Munir Prince (transfer from Notre Dame) will see a lot of playing time a long with Freshman Robert Steeples and Kip Edwards. I can tell Missouri fans are more excited about this Defense for the fact that Matt Eberflus left as the D-coordinator and Dave Steckel is taking over who from what I've read runs a tough practice and listening to some defensive players talk it sounds like they have more of an understanding of his defense than they did with Eberflus.
On Offense I do believe Blaine Gabbert will be a stud, how fast he becomes a stud is yet to be seen. He definitely has all the tools. The Offensive Line and Running Game will be the Strong point in the Missouri Offense. Danario Alexander if he is fully recovered from his knee injury should be a very good Receiver, and Andrew Jones will be the next great Tight End at Missouri. Receivers Jerrell Jackson, Wes Kemp and Rolandis Woodland I would say are the ones that could surprise. The coaching staff loved what they saw from Jerrell during practices as a true freshman last year and from what I've heard Rolandis has all the ability to be an absolute beast.
It won't be a 10 win season, but I don't see where people are saying "I don't see 3 wins on the schedule."
