Need you love doctor's help. At this college I go to. There is this girl that is new. She came in last Monday. She looks a lot like Keira Knightley in the face. For about a week she just sits by her self (when we go to the break room). No other guy flirts with her or something and I have been contemplating this since Friday Night and how do I approach her? Do I walk up and I hi and sit across from her or how do I do this?

Well last time I did this I wound up getting a crazy chick that had some very up and down emotions, but hey you should never let anything discourage you. Well when you walk up to her its best that you make sure she ain't busy or anything like that, and just sit across from her. You wanna act very natural in the situation, and just start off with a hey whats up? From there just continue with basic conversation stuff to just get to know her a bit before committing to anything further. It's important you make her feel comfortable in the situation and not awkard also.

Nah, this girl is not crazy. She actually looks like she is a really nice modest person. Thanks for the help and I will consider that. I will take things slow and not ask her out or anything right off the bat, but start of as small friends and work our way up.

Yeah im talking in terms of more from getting to know her from the small talk, you could see if you wanna pull the trigger on asking her out on a date. I tried the working it up slowly way and that just gets you no where. That strategy doesen't show her your true intentions, so she ends up thinking you just wan't a friend.

I just did that because someone told me that you should talk to a girl for a while before you ask them. Gotcha though. How about if I walk up to her talk for about ten minutes and then ask her out for a date and go from there.

The less you guys talk, the less extravagant the first date should be is what I always say. 10 minutes of talking is pretty small, so if you wanna ask her if she wants to go for a coffee when she is free or a lunch. After that you can ask her if she wants to go to a movie, dinner etc in the future.

Don't be a puss. Not everything has to go perfectly for you to ask someone out. Most of the time you're taking a chance anyways, no matter the circumstances.

Also, the longer you wait to ask someone out, the more doubt creeps into their head that you are not interested.

I'm not saying walk up to any girl that you'd like to go on a date with and ask her out immediately, but I would say within at least the first 2 weeks of getting to know someone, it's pretty key to let your intentions be known. If she says no then, she is definitely going to say no later.
