Kerry Collins replaces Favre on Probowl Roster
Am I the only one who thinks this is insane?
Why the hell isn't Rivers or even Cassel replacing this guy?
On one hand, Favre shouldn't have been there at all, but Kerry is not a Pro Bowl QB either.

Pro-bowl is probably the worst all star game for any sport.

Cassell should have been in over Kerry for sure.... Kerry Collins, worst Pro Bowl QB ever? No offense to Kerry, he's a serviceable QB, but not a pro bowl type guy.

In any case, Favre deserved it far less than Collins.

Well thats easy, have them play it in the nude, or nearly nude. Can't make the pro bowl like that. I do not want to see Pat Williams nude. The pro bowl just sucks.

FWIW, Jake Long replaced Jason Peters (LOL) today for the AFC.
Well deserved, as he and fellow rookie Ryan Clady were IMO two of the top three OT's in the AFC (Roos being the third).

lol, this is pretty funny. At least the Titans will get a glimpse of what Collins looks like throwing to actual receivers.

Probably? I think it's by far the worst and none of the other ones come close.
Don't know if it was posted, but Jake Long is replacing Jason Peters as well.

I completely agree. The MLB ASG actually carries some significance, while the NBA and NHL all star games are both just very fun to watch. The Pro Bowl is a clusterfuck of suck.

Here's a funny fact - over the past three seasons, the Titans have had 2 QB's make the pro bowl. Granted, both were reserves who didn't really earn it, but in this time the best QB rating was low 80's, 12TD's throwing was the most in a season, and 3000y passing in a season was not eclipsed.

MLB All-Star is actually entertaining and competitive; In the NBA-All Start game no one really tries, but at least they look like they're having fun going behind the back and throwing up full court alley-oops; Can't really say on the NHL, but odds are that games far more entertaining then the Pro Bowl.

This isn't terrible. while the stats aren't there, Kerry Collins may have saved the Titans season with his unexpected play this year.

No he didn't. He was mediocre to slightly above average, and that's all they really needed with what they had around him.

Collins may have saved us from VY's INTs, but that's saying more bad about VY than good about Collins.

And neither of those 2 QB's would be 2nd string on the Patriots.
In other news though, this does give Hollywood a good excuse to make a Kerry Collins movie, starring Kevin Costner. I've been waiting for like 5 years for an excuse for that movie to happen.

What the hell were the voters thinking? I mean seriously, it's one thing to get completely disregarded in the MVP voting, but just when you think you might get at least SOME recognition, Philip Rivers gets shafted by the fans (and everyone else, for that matter), and Kerry Collins gets to hang out with the rest of the all-stars. What a joke.
Edit- Didn't read that Rivers didn't want to go. Oh well. I got mad anyway. Give me Cassell, or Cutler please.
