Michael Johnson = Quentin Moses
Anyone else kind of see this if he doesnt show up at the combine. Moses was a top 10 coming off of his Jr year and fell to round 3, cut 2x and now with the dolphins.

I guess if you are predicting that they will both plumet in draft stock and be busts in the nfl then maybe.
Quentin Moses is not quite the physical specimen, was undersized in both height and weight and ran a super slow 40.
Both really did fail to meet expectations in college though.

well, moses had a poor year and a poor showing at the combine. johnson had a mediocre year and will probably put up big numbers at the combine

If you are saying Johnson will plummet like Moses, hell no. Moses ran a poor 40 when speed rush was all he had. Helped cause his epic drop from top 10 discussion very early on, to many thought wouldn't even be drafted.

Johnson has more athletic talent in his pinkie finger than Moses does in his body.

moses was undersized and was all speed. Michael Johnson is a physical specimen who doesnt have the stats that he should. Completely different

Uh, no...fail.
They're more different than similar. Moses was productive early on his career but suffered from "Senioritis", followed by a poor combine showing. Johnson did nothing in 3 years, had a solid Sr. year and should follow up with an outstanding combine.

Yeah, that's just crazy. Moses was flat nasty before his senior season, Johnson's only nasty when he's standing in shorts. If you mix Moses pre senior year and Johnson's athletic ability you have a top 3 pick though.

Those are solid senior numbers, but I'm still not overly impressed.

Those are great numbers. Plus, he had so many QB rushes and disrupted so many plays in the backfield. He may not have great or even average technique, but the dude is a beast.

This is an absolutely terrible comparison IMO.
At least Moses produced at the college level, but has little ability left. Michael Johnson didnt do anything in college, but has tons of ability left.

He's got a long way to go to prove to me his worth as an every down pass rusher. A lot has to go right for this kid to tap his full potential, we all know he can rush the passer.

I think Johnson had 7 sacks this year and is there anyone out there that wants to put him in the same universe with Reggie White?. Feel free to go on record here.

I'm guessing you're not a fan of Eugene Monroe then? Johnson gave it to him pretty hard for 2 years.
"Johnson produced nothing" is a HUGE overstatement. The guy was a major difference-maker for GT's defense, be it sacks, pressures, INTs, batted balls, or outstanding athletic plays in pursuit. People get caught up in the internet talk of him being an underachiever and fail to recognize that he did "something" in college. His athletic tools are very much visible when he's on the field, he just needs to improve his timing of the snap, hand use, and pass rush moves. Technique is coachable, but speed, agility, explosiveness and leaping ability aren't. GT used him a lot in coverage as well so he should see in increase in sack production in the NFL.
