Jason Taylor won't be there so that will free up some money. Skins also cut Marcus Washington and Pete Kendall will be gone with Dockery back. London Fletcher is pretty old too, he may retire by then. Randle El and Santanna Moss could be gone if Malcolm Kelly and Devin Thomas develop.

Or they are just banking on an uncapped year.

i don't think that there will ever be a salary cap in football again. or if so it would include only light penalties for overspending. i don't see how every single owner in the NFL can sit at a table and come to that agreement ever again. especially with the income disparities between teams. heck the redskins can seat like 90,000 people which is almost twice the amount of people a few of the smaller stadiums can seat. and its probably about 3 times the amount of people who show up to lions games.

Lions signed Bryant Johnson. Great signing. I like him because he's a 1st round pick receiver(which we need at least 2 or it doesn't feel like Millen taught Mayhew anything) and he went to my alma mater in PSU. And he's a good 2nd/3rd receiver. And you gotta love Johnson and Johnson. Hope its better than Williams and Williams. Whats the deal with that.

3 years 9 million.

The interesting thing is that a lot of the major market owners actually are in favor of a salary cap because it allows them to maintain a lower salary for their players and thus gives them a larger profit margin.

Obviously Dan Snyder is not if favor of it and has said publicly that he wants it uncapped, which would then allow him to try to be the Steinbrener of the NFL.

Wow, didnt see that coming. Seems like a very reasonable price and I've heard that his former teams both wanted to retain him so thats always positive.

I would also guess that this means no for Nate Washington, but Johnson's price wouldnt preclude us from signing Nate also, but I'd guess that neither Johnson nor Washington would accept a deal with the Lions knowning they'd have to compete with each other for the starting job opposite CJesus.

He isn't Nate Washington, but I'm OK with this signing.

I kinda hope we sign a #3 WR as well. Someone who can return kicks and punts.

Don't underestimate how huge that is. They needed someone to halfway balance the field. I think they might even go for TE somewhere down the line here also. Like what the Lions are doing.

I'd be happy, but there seems to be decent depth at TE and TEs always seem to drop on draft day, so we might be able to get a good TE at #65 if there is another impact guy available at #33, like Ron Brace, James Lauranitis, or Alphonso Smith

I would love for us to sign two more corners. Then we could really focus on D-Line in the draft.

It was originally said to be late round draft picks, but turned out to be Anthony Henry.

Apparently we tried to trade for Derrick Dockery, but Buffalo didn't file the necessary paperwork in time(??).. so they decided to just release him.

That's too bad. Would've liked to get him.

Does the trade of Jon Kitna mean Matt Stafford with #1?

I'm praying it does, please don't take Curry!
