either that or it falls to the ground without ever coming near a player of either team.

We had that combination and nothing special happened. Even Jesus (Government Name: Calvin Johnson) couldn't save Jon Kitna.

If I recall, Mike Williams also found paydirt.
How many cool trivia nuggets are in that game? One.

It's either getting intercepted 3 yards down field, or 15. I'll take Kitna, as his pick might be a glorified punt.

meh...I'm not so sure he would have been released. This is actually fairly surprising and what makes things worse...besides the fact that Kitna isnt any good, mocked the cowboys, and has bumped heads with Roy Williams on several occassions...ummm yeah, the Lions are probably moving Henry to safety. We could have certainly used Henry still. Safety need has now increased tenfold.

So Henry ofr Kitna straight up? I don't get it. I thought Henry was a pretty solid corner and Kitna is a decent backup...I guess. The article I read said Kitna will make $4 mill next year. So the Cowboys traded a younger, cheaper player who can start for an over the hill backup QB?

This really is a good move for the Cowboys. Kitna is a good fit for the offense if something happens to Romo. Either way he couldn't do worse than Brad Johnson.
