FO: I'm not really sure its Al Davis making the moves, seriously. Not going after TO and hasn't given over 50million to anyone not worth it yet? That is great. Signing Barnes, Carslile, Nnamdi and Shane again was brilliant.

Front Office consists of Mike Brown which is never a good thing. He's cheap and has a low desire to win it seems. While I'm not happy with the current situation it's unlikely that it will change anytime soon, therefore I live with it.

Meanwhile, Marvin gets a bad rap in Cincinnati. Some even say the only reason he isn't going to get fired before his contract is up will be because Mike Brown doesn't want to pay a man who isn't working for him. However, my personal opinion is that Marvin is a good coach. I'm not sure how much of a say he gets on choosing the roster, which is my biggest gripe with this team, but I know Mike Brown gets the final word.

Marvin took a team that was terrible all the way through the 90's and into the early 2000's and made it someone respectable, even if only for 1 year. Any coach who can win the division against the ravens and steeler's deserves a second chance imo. We've had a lot of injuries and key players walk since then, but I'm sure Marvin will do his best to try and win again.

To summarize: I hate Mike Brown, but can live with that. I like Marvin Lewis and hope he gets another year or two to prove what he's worth.

Front Office: We win at least a dozen games a year for over half of this decade and have won a Super Bowl so it's hard to fault Bill Polian. Polian builds through the draft and forgoes chasing overpaid free agents. In fact he rarely hops into free agency until the second or third wave looking for bargains to fill in depth gaps on the roster. We resign our good players who still have their best days still ahead for the most part(Manning, Reggie Wayne, Freeney/Mathis, Hayden ect.) and depart with ones who don't, see Edgerin James and Marvin.

Coaching: With Caldwell still yet to coach his first game, this remains to be seen. He was named coach in waiting by Dungy/Irsay before last season when they weren't sure if Tony was retiring. If Caldwell was hand picked by Dungy, that definitely makes me feel better. He did essentially fire Ron Meeks our DC and hired Larry Coyer so hopefully we get bigger interior lineman on D and larger linebackers who can tackle. Our Oc, Tom Moore has been the only OC that Peyton has ever worked with. The offense is continually a perennial top 10 unit if not a top 5. Most of the assistants on O have been with the team for most of the last 10 years with the exception of Frank Reich who replaces Caldwell as QB coach. Ray Rychleski is our new ST coach had some great results at Maryland and South Carolina so perhaps we could have some vast stability and improvement from our STs which had been overall horrible under Russ Pernell.

Coaching: WIP as of now but on the whole, yes.

Lots of good, young GM's in the league and I think Tannenbaum's amongst the best. We haven't won a Super Bowl yet, but this guys been ridiculous with both cap work and our FA negotiations.

I'm very skeptical of Rex Ryan. "Aggressive" has been buzzworded in Jets land, and it just seems like marketing trash to feed the fans who went from Mangenius to Mangina. He's a pretty lateral hire when you throw in how recent former Ravens DC's have performed as HC's.

I'm still not passing full judgement on him now because time will handle that.

I like our coordinators alot. Pettine seems bright enough, and Schottenheimer IMO is poised to jump back on that list of young, talented OC's to watch.

Would I like them to Scrap the ZBS and work more towards a spread oriented attack? Sure.

Front Office - We don't have a general manager. We don't have anyone higher than each other in the FO. No one has any power over each other. The Bills have so many holes on this team right now, and they have not addressed many. (LG, C, DE, DT, OLB, S, RB, TE). We haven't sorted out this Peters debacle. No, I am not happy with the front office.

Coaching staff - Dick Jauron is running the show. "Mr. Mediocrity" We play the most boring football in the NFL. Horrible playcalling, with an inability to manage a game = a bad combination. No, I am not happy with the coaching staff. Oh yeah, the cover-2 sucks (good thing we use it, though!)

Actually, no I am not happy.

The Colts are probably going to make the playoffs and lose 2nd round or AFC championship.

We always seem to be one or two players away, then we lose a few guys, and then draft again only to be one or two players away.

I think our cap has been mishandled with some players getting WAY too much money.

I also think it was a bad decision to let the beneficiary of one of the greatest QB's of all time to become a HC. From QB coach of Manning to HC? Dude, Manning doesn't even need a QB coach. Now we are actually handing over the keys to this guy Caldwell?

The Colts needed another defensive specialist and they blew it. They are going to blow it again this year, and I will be very surprised if Peyton ever gets another ring here in Indy.

Rex I love thus far but it's early. Tannenbaum does a little more FA spending then I'd like but still seems to do his best to hold onto draft picks (especially high ones) and our younger players, so he's already. Plus he's magical with the cap.

Even the quick trade of Cassel/Vrabel seems to me like there was the intention of working a deal for Peppers. The jury is still out for me on this early FA season because it really seems like a lose/lose right now. The Cassel deal seemed too quick on the trigger, and even if Pep ends up in NE it will wreak havoc on the ability to sign Wilfork, Seymour & Mankins next year if Peppers gets a monster contract.

Overall - In Bill We Trust. Until he proves otherwise the guy is, at the very least, a demi-god.

Absolutely. The only person I have any problem with is Arians and after his play-calling in the playoffs I support keeping him on. He does do a great job with Roethlisberger.

I HATE Mike Brown

So now you know how I feel about the Front Office, now onto the coaching staff....

I'm content with Marvin. A lot of the problems he has encountered is from the mistakes of Mike Brown. He's not much with the media but that's not a big deal in the long run.

Our offensive coordinator Bob Bratkowski is lousy. Same offense every year, crappy play calling and just general suckiness. Anytime our offense succeeds it's generally due to the talent, not the coaching. With Carson healthy the offense consists of medium pass - long pass - long pass - punt. He would completely abandon the run when it was doing well in a tied game. He should be canned. Yes, we had the worst offense last year but I was even complaining about him when the offense was one of the best units.

Mike Zimmer was AWESOME his first season. Everything we had been asking for from our DC was given by Zimmer. They were aggressive, could actually tackle for once. Finished 12th overall despite being on the field all game because our offense was so awful.

Speaking for Detroit fans I think it is safe to say NO. Ford has produced 1 playoff appearance since he owned the team and his list of FO hires reads like a list of total failures including Matt Millen who is likely to go down as the worst GM in NFL history. His replacement, Mayhew who learned his trade under Millen, has been promoted to GM with a resume that is more like a blank page with no substantial requirements met. He assured Ford he would make no substantial changes within the organization, an obviously sound decision if you want to remain the laughing stock of the NFL.
For any of you who complain about your FO's, just remember, it can be worse as every Detroit fan for 50 years can attest.
As for our coaching staff, nobody in the NFL can win if their GM doesn't provide them with a reasonable amount of talent and that is never going to occur as long as Ford is the one hiring the GM. 0-16 was just the final reward for Ford's total incompetence and it may not be the last time Detroit goes without a win.

AJ Smith hes been pretty solid since hes taken over and there are some questionable things hes done too. But his Pros out weighs his cons for me. Norv ehh well hes done a pretty good job turning Philip Rivers into what he is today, but I want him gone next season. Rivera taking over Ted Cottrell's job was a glorious day.

Packers

FO: I think TT is average at best. His drafting is pretty damn good, but he completely neglects free agency. He doesn't need to pull a Snyder and sign everyone. But consider the Packers are switching to a 3-4 signing a single free agent who fits the system would sure be nice. I feel like Packer fans, especially on this site give TT way too much leeway.

Coaching: McCarthy is a great coach, until the 4th quarter. His biggest problem is that he is conservative. Now add in Rodgers being a conservative QB and that explains why the Packers couldn't win a game in the 4th quarter. But for the first three quarters of a game, I would take McCarthy over 90% of the coaches in the NFL.
