Not everybody does that. I wish they did because I wouldnt have lost so much. I had trip aces and raised the guy up to $9 and he called with 10,Jack hoping for the straight on the river. Of course with my luck he got that straight.

I'm just saying when you play with fake money or very low stakes people tend to play worse hands hoping to luck out.

When i turn 21 i'm thinking of signing up at full tilt poker.

Where do you guys play?

Yeah Foxwoods and Mohegian Sun allow it in CT as well but I'm not totally sure about Foxwoods.

Blinds are 200-400, I pick up J-J and raise it to 2000 I get 3 calls.

Flop comes 5-7-4

I bet one folds 2 call. Turn card is an 8 I bet they call river is a A he bets I go all in he calls.

He turns over 5-7 for 2 pair..

How do you call a raise with 5-7?

My $9 was real money.....I was playing 25c/50c though which is nowhere near the level you are at.

I play at full tilt poker but I am not 21. It says all you have to be is 18 to make an account so thats what I did. Then you have to make an account with one of their money processors and on one of them you only have to be 18 too.

Was this a donkey call I made?

I have Q-9 in the small blind and limp in. Only 3 others call.

The flop comes 9-9-5. I check, the guy next to me bets 117k, I have only 37K and I call immediatly. I have trip 9's with a Q kicker. Turn is an A and river is a Q giving me a full boat.

The other guy flips over 5-5 for a lower full house. He says I made a donkey call because he flopped a full house and I needed a queen to beat him. I went all in with trip 9's. Was it a donkey call?

I'm guessing this is a multi-table tournament. When everyone limped in, and you flopped trips, there was no reason for you to think that you didn't have the best hand. In fact, the only hands you had to be worried about were K-9, A-9, and pocket 5's. However, I take it the blinds were big enough that you were going to push with this hand. It was not a donkey call. You put a bad beat on the guy by catching a 3-outer against him, but I would have made the same move in your situation. It's a bad beat, not a bad play on your part.

You made the right raise, but when that turn hit with an 8, you should have absolutely gotten away from that hand. You could easily be up against a set or a straight. Any 6 beats you, so do pocket Q's, K's, and A's, plus whatever flush draws are there. You were overly aggressive and should have slowed down on the turn.

I already play(ed) at FTP and I am only 20. I deposited $100 and busted.

When I get a job teaching in Lexington like in 3 years or so I'm gonna go hardcore online and put like $800 on it. I really think I can play online as a 2nd job with good results I just need one big tournament win to get my bankroll going.

Thats what I thought but it hasnt happened yet. I might try again in a few days.

I wouldnt play at Full Tilt poker, its soooooooooo rigged. Like I sat there for 4 hours and not once did I even get one pair. Finally, when I was down to $3 from losing all the blinds I got pocket jacks and went all in. The guy calls because he has like $80 with Ace, 3 and on the river gets the ace to win. I didnt even pair up once besides getting those pocket jacks!

Dude, at one table on Poker stars I got KK 5 times and won once.

It is called random chance. If you play enough hands you will eventually hit a streak where you miss every hand you play.

In a home game, one of my friends hit 4 of a kind 3 times in 5 hands. Each one was a different person dealing and a different person shuffling, so no cheating was involved.

I have had times like that on every major poker site, in brick and mortar tournies, and in home games. Hell, look a little earlier in this thread, I lost 150 bucks in home games even though every time I was all in I was ahead. **** happens, deal with it, rather than blaming the sites.

The WSOP Main Event starts in a couple of days... Does anyone know if they televise it immediately, or do they televise the entire thing a couple of weeks after it ended?

I play at Full Tilt, but b/c I am cheap, I play with fake money. And of course most of the people that play with fake money make crazy moves, which makes it hard to play against them.

I think they televise it at the end of August/Beginning of September.

Everyone has bad beats, but hands hold up much more on FT than any other site.

You all need to look me up on the play money tables. My name is BucSappy...hit me up to play heads up for like 100k in play. I will beat u guaranteed. My play money bankroll is at like 3Mill

I can tell just by the way you talk that you aren't much of a poker player. Great poker players understand that they will lose quite often, regardless of their level of play. What's keeping you from building a fat bankroll with real money?
