Vernon should have dubbed that catch "The Snatch."
It would probably be a fine if the Giants win and a suspension of the Packers win.

Road to the Super Bowl goes through Candlestick!!!!!!!! I love that the two big passing teams have been knocked out.

Prolific passing breaks regular season records. Defense, a strong running game and timely passing still wins Championships.

Think i would have rather faced the Packers...
Last time the Giants were riding high over a big road win against a top seed (sound familiar? it was NE last time). However, this will still be a tough game. The Giants don't have weapons like Sproles or Graham and i think we'll be fine on run D, but Nicks and Cruz are an another level right now.

If the Packers rolled the Giants, people would be saying they'd rather play the Giants. Beat the F'n Giants.
Lets go Niners!!!

Not even. Offenses like the Saints and the Packers....pass-driven offenses are little easier to gameplan for because you know your going to be in nickel most of the game and the secondary isnt really fooled by the play-action because they don't really respect the run. A team like the Giants are more dangerous because they can and will run the ball. And we didnt face Bradshaw the last game. He's their most dangerous back and he'll be at full strength. That play-action could be a problem if their run game is even somewhat effective. Their offense presents more problems than the Packers honestly.
But I will ALWAYS have faith in my squad. I know Harbaugh will have the boys ready and The Stick better be rocking. No blue in the stands, I want a sea of red. And Ness, stay your ass at home!!!

Victor Cruz could be annoying. Last time he smoked Carlos Rogers. We need to shut him down.

Soooooo glad we didn't Draft Tim Tebow (and the media debacle that inevitably follow him).

Johnathan Goodwin is the 2011 Bob McKittrick Award winner. Good job.
Quote:
Center Jonathan Goodwin, whom the 49ers acquired as a free agent in the offseason, was honored Monday night as winner of the Bobb McKittrick Award.
Right guard Adam Snyder congratulated Goodwin on Twitter and included a photo of the menu for the dinner held in his recognition. Goodwin responded, "I feel honored when (I) look at some of the names on that list. Thanks to my OL teammates."
The 49ers have yet to announce any of their team award winners.

He really has been exactly the leader that the young group needed. His value this year has gone way beyond his abilities as a player.

I'm in the middle of watching "The Game" starring Michael Douglas. It came out in 1997 and it's filmed in San Francisco. Guess who plays a police officer in a short cameo:
And his name is "Officer Hicks".

YES! 100% accurate. Another pass-rusher opposite Aldon would be great as well.

Who would've thought Ted Ginn was actually important for you guys? That sucks, but at least a good offseason can turn the 49ers into a top team. Completely agree with WR and CB. Next mock, I'm probably giving the 49ers Mohamed Sanu.

3 young guys I am eager to see if they can come back from injuries and contribute and make an impression during the off-season.....
Byham
Holcomb
Bogan
Byham I think would have thrived in this system had he have been healthy. Great blocker and a underated pass-catcher.
Holcomb is a guy Baalke really liked. But a ruptured Achilles is a hard injury to come back from in a year.
Bogan is a WR I really liked in college. Everybody is in love with Sanu and Bogan reminds me alot of Sanu. Not as big, but very similar running style and how they attack the ball in the air.
