I just realized that last year Brett Favre was the first white player to appear on the cover. What makes that even stranger is that he was the 5th QB.

I guess the cover IGN used originally was just a placeholder. That cover was kinda cool though. Still pulling from Peyton. Come on, you've never shied away from an endorsement deal before, why start now? :)

Peyton seems to me a guy that would believe in curses and wouldn't be on the cover.

100% accurate. They were even able to put a black guy on the cover of NHL. I mean, seriously!

They should just put Aaron Curry on the cover since people all ready have him in the HOF any ways.

Honestly, I think they should go with Madden for at least this year in honor of his retirement. Find an older photo of him and digitally enhance it, maybe? There has to be a good photo of him out there in some old school "coaches shorts" . . . lol

As long as it isn't Aaron Rodgers, I'm cool with it.
Polamalu should keep the curse going.

Go Vilma!!
But honestly, i'm surprised Brees isn't in the running. Especially considering 09's love for the pass game.

I don't think EA wants to put retirees on the front back to back. Before you know it you're stuck putting retired players on the cover.
(I know Favre didn't REALLY retire, but you get the point)
