Hey guys first time poster on here. I go to St. Vincent and play football there. We report for camp tomorrow and I'll post anything I notice on here. We're allowed where the public isn't so it's actually really cool. Last year Mike Tomlin gave our team a speech. It was an ubelievable speech that ended with the line, "Get tight dudes." I'll post anything I notice on here

Yeah, he has had 2 great catches, 1 where he made a great catch on 3rd down and got nailed by 2 guys and still hung on to the ball. The second was good when he came back to the ball and made a nice catch.

Redman looks like a keeper. I think he takes Tank's spot.

Not bad for the first game. Sweed, Wallace, Burnett, and Sepulveda had good nights. The o-line didn't look good; especially on the run.
Biggest dissapointment of all by far was Ziggy Hood. His pass rush wasn't very good and was just awful against the run, consistantly getting driven off the line by Herman Johnson and Lutui. He did get the sack but it was more of a blown block than anything else.

Summers was the lead blocker on his first TD, he got knocked on his ass by a linebacker and Redman dragged 2 guys into the endzone.
I was impressed with Sweed, Wallace, and McDonald tonight. We've got a great receiving core.
But the line of course looked awful. Starks and Colon looked like turnstyles and Colon had his patented illegal formation penalty. I really think the line is going to bring this team down from being a truly dominant group.
Sepulveda was amazing. Ben looked sloppy, but that'll fix itself.

Redman was dominating tonight, if he keeps playing like this he will make the team and Sweed, Wallace, and McDonald i think solidified their spots tonight as long as they finish the preseason with no major screw ups.

I'm pretty much on the same page with everyone else.
Timmons looked good. Sticking with his man in coverage. Ryan Clark was flying around trying to decapitate people as usual.
Ziggy didn't impress me as much as I was hoping (reports from camp). Like Sgt Pepper said, he got pushed back in run defense and didn't get much push at all in pass defense. Not at all what I was expecting. I'm glad Burnett was able to redeem himself. That was no good. I liked how Coach went quickly walking over saying, "Joe!! Come here!!!"
Offensive line looked par for them. I did watch Legursky a good bit and he seemed able to hold his own actually. On most plays. It seemed like the pressure was coming from out tackles. (for the most part)
On the 2nd KO return to Wallace, WOW, he looked blazing fast. If Dixon would have been throwing it on time, he would have had like 5 bombs.
And Sepulveda looked awesome. Hanging the ball up there and booming it. I think at the end of the game they said he was averaging 50. Pretty damn good.
All in all, I'm happy. Didn't focus on the first team offense and defense. I know they don't play so hard and keep everything pretty simple. Can't wait for next weekend.

Although he is a local boy, I see Mundy on the PS again this year. I think Roy Lewis will be the back up FS since he seems to be around the ball a lot and makes plays. Mundy seems too hesitant on closing in and making plays. I like Mundy and think he could be a good player for us, but not right now.

Yeah, Roy Lewis was putting some good hits on people if I remember correctly. And aside from the steelers, Jon Gruden is a way better commentator than Tony Kornheiser (or however you spell his name)

Now that I think of it, unless Redman can play STs right away, Tank will make the team. You can't really take Tank's 2 carries all that serious because he was a lead blocker and played special teams all game and made a tackle. If Redman continues to impress, he might take Tank's spot. As of right now, Tank is on the team because he brings versatility to our ballclub.
