If the Steelers cut MeMo, I would really judge the Steelers' though process and I would want what they are smoking. Vincent is a waste of space.

Moore's a different type of back. He gives us a lot of versatility. He won't get cut.

These cuts are going to be rediculous. Ive never seen such a deep team on the steelers...and thats coming off a superbowl...could be a special season!

IMO, Eason will make it over Kirshke. Burnett will not make it to our PS.

i agree about Vincent but it sounds like everyone likes him, but i was thinking with Logan, he could be our 3rd down back and with Mendy and Parker back he may get lost in the mix and he prob. cost us more hen any of the others (not counting Mendy or Parker)

Yeah, I think Davis' role could be taken up by a variety of guys. Summers and David Johnson as the FB/H-Back guy, and Donovan Woods or Patrick Bailey as the ST ace.
His roster spot could mean another spot for a CB or LB or S or WR or RB or something.

Summers will have to show exceptional ST's ability for them to keep him over Davis.
I love Summers at FB, made extremely Key blocks. While he's hardly replaceable he knows what he's doing and is a key favorite.
It's extremely hard for day 2/UDFA prospects to unseat coach fav's.

I think Summers might take over at FB not because he's necessarily the best guy for the job but because we don't have enough roster spots. Summers has too much potential to cut in my opinion and it seems like he's picking up the FB duties pretty well. Our RB stocks are full as anything this year. I'm starting to think, depending on how Mendy and some of the other young guys progress this year, maybe Willie doesn't get resigned. Definitely looks like quite a special year though. Our defense is so nasty.

Joe B. turned out to be pretty bad...was he even serviceable at safety?
Summers would be on the team and given the time to learn the FB position if we had roster spots. Since we are really tight for space this year, he might make it through on to the 53 man roster, but won't be surprised if he is the first one cut to make room for a defensive player during the year, if injuries occur.
Another thing that they could do is put him on IR or PUP.
How has Shaun McDonald looked?

Yeah Burnett looked bad last night. You cannot arm-tackle in the NFL.

I don't think Burnett has been bad, but he has been very hot and cold. He would make a good play, then make a stupid one, then back to a good play, back to a bad play. That said, I dont know if he makes the team now. Coaches do think he could be a young Deshea.
I hope we can keep McDonald on the roster because outside of Hines and Holmes, none of our recievers have done squat. Granted they are all young, but McDonald could step in for one of them and provide great production IMO. He would be key for third downs for us.

I think McDonald is out. Sounds like the top 4 receiver spots are going to Ward, Holmes, Sweed, and Wallace. I'm curious if the coaches will consider Logan as a backup slot kind of guy and leave it with those 5 or take McDonald as the 5th.
Logan is really an exciting player to have because we can use him in a variety of positions like a Persey Harvin kind of player.
Edit: And the real question about Burnett is does he beat out Keiwan Ratliff for a spot or not. I think Madison is as good as gone.

Watch that video if you haven't already. It is a funny video of the DBs dancing at Media Day at the Super Bowl. There is another video of Bruce Davis and Tony Hills freestyling and of Dezmon Sherrard dancing.

From what I have read, Madison has improved his cornerback play. People seem to forget that he was a 3 year starter on a SEC team. I believe he will make the team due to his special teams play. We haven't really had a special teams player with his tenacity since Sean Morey and Chidi Iwouma(sp).

He said earlier that it'll be announced at Tomlin's press conference.

I, for one, am glad that Davis is cut. I guess this means Tank is our new starting RB. I wonder how much cap space we have now with cutting Davis and Madison. I am sad to see Ra'Shon Harris go. I hope he clears waivers and I can see him being a real good player for us if we keep him.

So do we keep 4 TE's? How many OT's? Mundy, Ratliff, Foster?

I think that Tank and McHugh(when he returns) will play the majority of FB. Maybe Johnson will play FB as well.
I think the three that you mentioned and posted made the team. I do not know who all got cut, as that is the only people that PPG confirmed.

Man that first list of cuts is really bad! Sonny Harris and Isaac Redman are both going to be better than a ton of players still on this team. If they dont make it past waivers, we are gonna regret it. Sad day.
