MP3 Devices
Which do you prefer? iPod? Zune? Other?
I have (had) a Zune and it just crapped out on me after a little more than a year. I'm going to buy another MP3 player but am wondering what you find gentlemen (and AQ) think.

I have an ipod nano (1st gen). I'veever had a problem with it. It's plain looking, but I'm not a razzle-dazzle type person really and I only use it at the gym, so better for it to be tough and able to be dropped, taken in the sauna, etc.

I have an ipod video...no problems with it at all. I've dropped it probably about 20 times, but it is still fine. I am probably going to buy another ipod when this one eventually dies.

I've had a 80 GB Video iPod for a long while now. Doesn't have any videos on it anymore but used to and they look great on the screen. Currently the iPod has almost 10,000 songs on it with room for more. It has also has a kick ass Steelers cover....so it owns any other mp3 player.

I'm cheap and poor so I've only got an iPod shuffle, but it's been working for 2 years now for me and gets the job done for all I need it for.

Im a big proponent of the Zune. I have had one of the old 30 gig ones for years and its great. Doesn't get annoying fingerprints like an Ipod, the casing is more durable, and when you own one, you aren't another tool in the Ipod generation.

I have a 120GB ipod, it is pure awesomeness. My Friend has a Zune and he likes it a lot, says he'll never use an ipod again. Apple needs to get a 120GB ipod touch so i can get one :)

As I tweeted to you, get the IPod. Repairs in the first year are free. In the first three years, cost about 25-50 bucks to replace the whole IPod. It is sick.

I got a barely used 30GB video iPod from a friend a while ago. I still haven't put any videos on it, but it carries the music I need and I have had no issues with it. I was almost going to buy a Touch until I was basically given this one. That would have been excessive for me, though.

If you have the apple care protection plan they will replace it for free for three years. So long as you didn't break the device.

Right, I'm saying the Apple Care costs about 25-50 bucks. And you can buy it after you break your IPod.

Cowon makes the best on the market, but unfortunately, they make basically all PMPs, and nothing as compact as iPods.
