They were secondary recruiting violations. And many other SEC schools have gotten multiple secondary recruiting violations this offseason as well. You just won't hear about those as much because Kiffin has become a polarizing force that draws big attention. Not to mention it's his first season as a head coach so you would kind of expect him to have more violations than the other schools with more experienced coaches. That's just part of the fast learning curve.
|
Well that is true, and do not get me wrong, he is better than Phil Fulmer but I still believe a major part of that staff, especially early on will be his dad Monte. He is arguably the most respected defensive mind in football much less the NFL. What defensive player would not want to play for Tennessee?

3. Kavario Middleton - Locker to Middleton should be a nice bailout plan, reason 41 of why Steve Sarkisian should have been elected president.
4. Curtis Shaw/Chris Polk - Big plays are something UW didn't have a lot of last year, but these two's versatility and explosiveness are unmatched on UW roster and both should have some huge plays.
5. Jake Locker's Arm - They always talk about his feet and how awesome of an athlete he is, but his arm is top notch and his accuracy is really starting to come around.

I gotta agree 100% with you Jballa.

I don't think there's any other LB in the Pac-10 that has produced like him.

This isn't my team and this is quite a jump, but I think Lamar Milstead, OT, Virginia will have a big year and make some draft noise.
The reason why this is such a big jump is because he has never seen the field. He was awarded the player with the most improvement in Spring and I think he will be the next great Virginia lineman.

Throwing this name out there. McKay Jacobson. Coming off a mission, if he can get his speed and swag back, 1200+ yards and 14 total td's. At least one return td.

in addition to Jerrod Johnson:
Jeff Fuller
Ryan Tannehill (assuming he's still at WR and healthy)
look up their stats from last year, it's ridiculous:
Tannehill - 55 receptions, 844 yds, 5 TDs
Fuller - 50 receptions, 630 yds, 9 TDs

Collin Peek, TE, Alabama. He's a Georgia Tech transfer & as such something of an unknown quantity in the SEC. His hands & routes impressed the Tide coaching staff, they know there's a need for a secondary receiver not named Julio Jones for McElroy & the Tide offense this fall. With Jones drawing dbl. teams everywhere he goes it should open things up for Peek.

Here's hoping Brady Hoke can turn Ryan Lindley into an NFL prospect like he did with Nate Davis. Has decent size right now at 6'3" 205 lbs and he's still only a RS Soph.

Seeing as the OP said to pick 5 players from your favorite team, it would seem it would kind of have to be a somewhat of a homer thread, wouldn't it?

For anyone that knows of my Craig Roh mancrush, I wanted to put him in so bad, but I don't think he'll see much PT as a freshman.
|
Just wanted to point out that I'm not looking too bad so far.
Tate Forcier, QB-2 games, 36/53 (67.9%), 419 yards, 5 TD's, 1 INT, 24 carries, 107 yards, 1 TD, 526 yards total offense, 6 total TD's.
Junior Hemingway, WR-1 game, 5 catches, 103 yards, 2 TD's
Kevin Koger, TE-2 games, 7 catches, 70 yards, 2 TD's
Jonas Mouton, LB-2 games, 11 tackles, 1 INT, 1 FR
Ryan Van Bergen, DE-2 games, 4 tackles, 0.5 TFL's, 0.5 sacks
4 out of 5 isn't too bad.

For Missouri-
Aldon Smith - 6'5" 240lb DE - RSfr - reportedly has 1% body fat. Has been an absolute beast off the edge so far this year. Has some freakish athleticism. Should grow into an unstoppable force.
Kevin Rutland - JR - CB - has nice size and speed. Has been a big part of Missouri's improved pass defense so far this year.
Kenji Jackson - FS - Soph - Took over for William Moore and has patrolled the middle of the field for the secondary. Very athletic, and disciplined defender.
Elvis Fisher - OT - 6'5" 315lbs - RSSoph - Developing into a great LT prospect.
Wes Kemp - WR - Soph - He has great hands and really good speed. 2 tds in his fist 2 games this year.
