Questions regarding the Ravens 2008 defense
Hey everyone, I need some help/info in regards to what base the Ravens played defensively in 2008. Did they play the 3-4, 4-3 or a hybrid? Also, I know that Pryce played DE but what positions did Ngata and Bannan play at? I'm pretty sure one of them was the other DE but I dont know which one.
Thanks.

Ngata played DE mainly. A lot of hybrid with a majority being 30 fronts.

Actually Ngata played NT last year with the injury to Kelly Gregg. This year, he'll be back to DE in the 3-4. Pryce and Bannan were the DE's in '08. Though when they come up in a 40 front in different situations, Pryce becomes the LE and Suggs is the RE. Ngata and Gregg/Bannan play inside.

Reed was at FS. They used all kinds of defenses. Guys like Suggs and Ngata give them a ton of versatility in that defense.

Does anyone know which front (3-4 or 4-3) the Ravens played more of percentage wise?
Thanks.

yes I am pretty sure it was more 3-4 front.
Ray Lewis lost 15 pounds this off-season, I think we will see more 4-3 fronts this year

reed played fs, leonhard was the main guy playing alongside him and he is a pretty pure ss. I wonder who will play alongside reed this time around, I hope that tommy z is gonna get a shot

I wouldn't mind Z getting a shot if he earns it, but Landry is a really good safety so I don't see it happening this year.

I believe its Landrys contract year, I think Zbi can be a beast and Nakamura could be a starter in the NFL(average but nothing special). so if Landry asks for 2 much I could see him leaving.
