What a lucky shot by Yang, haha. Better to be lucky than good

Tiger had a chance to make up that shot on this hole, well he still does, but if Yang 3 putts it could be tied up.

Yup, first ever major win by an Asian-born golfer.

As huge a Tiger fan that I am, that was awesome to see. Like pf28 said, this will definitely continue the globalization of golf. Yang earned every bit of it.

Even with his eagle on 14 and his incredible second shot on 18? I mean, the guy put a 3 iron to within 8 feet on the final hole.

but also if Tiger had made half of his puts that lipped out or barely missed Tiger probably wins by 2-3

ill give you the chip in, but that 3 -hybrid was over hooked. yes it turned out great but he had no intention of taking that ball anywhere within 10 feet right of the flag.
if tiger played like tiger, then h would have finished at -10 easily. he had a bulky putter and couldn't catch a break. when he tried to hit cut shots they went straight and ended up 30 feet or more away from where he wanted the ball to end up. where as yang barely missed going down on the 16th and ends up with a 15 footer up the hill. just what i saw.

yang did win. thats not what im arguing, im just saying tiger gave him the tournament. i know its not how, its how many in golf. but anyone who has seen golf in the last ten years knows tiger finishes and this was extremely odd in a major for him not to win after having the 54 hole lead( 9-0 in majors with a share of lead or better previous to today) he couldn't fade the ball which to me leads me to question if he knee is fully healthy. if he can't get onto his left side the ball won't fade.

that's just dumb...yang may have gotten some fortunate breaks but ultimately he won, he beat TIGER WOODS. Don't try to minimize what he did today and place his victory at the failure of someone else.

I have to be honest.once I heard yesterdday Yang was Tiger's playing partner I thought it was over and Tiger would cakewalk to the win.but credit Yang he never blinked once(outside of 17 really)

Sigh... If Tiger loses any tournament, it was Tiger that lost it and not the other golfer that won it.

whether he meant to or not, that second shot on 18 by Yang was one of the greatest shots this decade.
