Based on pure talent, Illinois' receiver group this year is flat out ridiculous (just need someone who can get them the ball consistently).

Benn, Fayson, Hoomanawanui, Cumberland, Jenkins, and Hawthorne.

Running Back Tandem: 1945-46 Army - Glenn Davis and Doc Blanchard - Mr Inside and Mr Outside. They never lost a game while in the same backfield (27-0-1), won 2 national titles and each has a Heisman.

Offensive Line: 1994 Ohio State - Orlando Pace and Corey Stringer. Any line with Orlando Pace on it qualifies - He got Heisman votes for God's sake.

WR Tandem: 1995 Ohio State - Joey Galloway, Terry Glenn, Chris Sanders - Galloway and Glenn were Top 10 picks in back to back drafts while Sanders was a 3rd round pick to the Oilers and had a solid career.

Even Jordyz would lose to Chuck Woodson (Praised Be His Name).

Ohio State 2005 wide receiver group

-Santonio Holmes: Current super bowl MVP, rising star, over 1000 yards receiving

-Ted Ginn: Top 10 draft pick, over 700 yards receiving in his sophomore season

-Anthony Gonzales: top 30 draft pick, over 800 yards receiving last year

-Brian Robiskie (as a youngster) Second round draft pick

Only group I can think of that is better is Miami: with Moss, Williams, and Johnson, as well as Winslow if you count him.

Oh well heres the thing.. We're talking position groups. Like D-Line Group: Reggie McGrew, Jevon Kearse, Gerard Warren, and Alex Brown like that. They have to have played in the same season.

LB Group: Johnny Rutledge, Andra Davis, Mike Peterson.

Like that. These groups are pretty freakin talented.

For future reference, I think this years Miami LB core is gonna be up there. Arthur Brown and Sean Spence are already impressive as hell.
