I agree. We just jumped like 14 spots and PSU dropped like 9. I have no problem with that, but it just proves how hilarious preseason and early season polls are.

If the first polls were to come out after this week, week 4, then there is absolutely no chance PSU is ranked ahead of Iowa.

It's just incredibly entertaining to think that after last night, actual coaches view PSU as the better team. Preseason hype and too early polls ftw!!

I'm disappointed that SCAR's not ranked. It's not a sight I get to enjoy often. If they would have beat Georgia, they may be in the top 10-12 already. Well, we have SCAR State this week so, hopefully with a little help we'll be in there next week.

These poll's only matter for around 4 teams, being SC, VT, TCU and Notre Dame.

we all know its gonna be SEC #1 vs. USC, or Big XII Champ with VT having an outside shot they don't really deserve in my opinion. I feel for Iowa and Cincinatti who could run the table and not get in. Notre Dame needs to be top 16 for BCS and TCU needs to stay top 12 and hope for a Boise State loss.

I agree, if Iowa or Cincy run the table, I wouldn't be surprised one bit to see a 1 loss SEC team, USC, or possibly a 1 loss Oklahoma/Texas get the NC game.

So, if Boise, TCU, and Houston all go undefeated, does the BCS blow up? We can only hope.

we need the BCS to set up seeds for a playoff but that'll never happen.

I'm banking on there being no undefeated teams this season except for maybe Boise State. I think we are deserving of our ranking for making up for that 10 point loss in SEC country with a 31-7 thumping of Miami. We really can't afford another loss if we want to be anywhere in the discussion later on.

However, I think the first thing that needs to happen is we need to get rid of preseason and early season polls. But we all know that won't ever happen because then ESPN won't know who to report on or show.

Completely agree. Any team with a strong offensive line can probably beat us. Even if you put as at #9 due to accomplishments, Auburn is a lot more deserving.

I'm assuming you mean too high, otherwise I would love to hear how a team that struggled to beat Miss. State and whose signature win was over a Washington team that isn't even that good deserves to be in the top 3.

One thing I don't get about the Iowa love is that if we all agree that Penn State was (and still is) overrated, why does Iowa get a ton of credit for beating them? I actually think #17 is a pretty fair ranking for a team that was a blocked FG away from losing to a IAA team, it's just that Penn State shouldnt even be ranked
